My favorite TV show for the past few years had been the simpsons. I own the first 3 seasons and hope to collect all of the seasons. But now the Simpsons seem IMO to get a little less funny. Right now my favorite cartoon is "Family Guy". Some of the stuff that peter says is hilarious. I have also noticed the PBM's signature is from peter.

its on my prif but..
1. south park- nothing can beat this show
2. family guy- close second to south park and a HUGE rip off of the simpson, (fat drunk stupid father, wife that holds everything together, 2 children and 1 baby, dog, unliked grandfather, group hangout it a bar, ... the list goes on and on)
3. futurama- underestimated and i think its funny, made by the guy who made simpsons
.
.
.
i'm also a spongebob and fairly odd parents fan. fairly odd parents are HILARIOUS
but nothing beats south park, NOTHING
Scrubs, American Choppers and spongebob, best shows out there..
I'm quite a big Simpsons fan too, and I really like Family Guy (however I can only watch it at Morph's house as they're never on TV and he has them on DVD). Im a Futurama, Sponge Bob and The O.C. fan aswell.
lol, i like max n paddy road to nowhare, peep show, Simpsons, Family guy, Futurama, spong bob... the list goes on and on, well it dusnt exaclty, cuz am not a real tv junkie, so :P
And Little Britain... EHH EEHHH EEEEHHHHH!!!! lmao, i Find Ann funny as hell...
Scrubs, American Choppers and spongebob, best shows out there..
Yea I agree. My other favs are One tree Hill, Family Guy, Futurama, Little Britain, Dead Ringers, Have I got news for you and the O.C is okay too.

what :!: no one watches south park  . that is by FARRRRRRR the best show out there. as for family guy and futurama, they still show them here at like 11pm. i'm not sure what channels they have in britian but its on "cartoon network", on their "adult swim" portion.
In my opinion South Park relies too much on Toilet Humour. It's funny at first but it just gets annoying and disgusting after a while. It doesn't have the same level of intellegence that the writers covey in the scripts for shows like Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy. However, it is sometimes very funny, but just in a different way, which I don't like as much. Just my 2 cents.

first, watch the episode when cartman thinks he's psychic. that is the funnist thing ever. as for intelectual humor, i'm sorry but i have to disagree, south park exploits many stereotypes and has a lot of shows on current events such as when michal jackson was in the news, when The Passion came out, and other moments(i just cant remeber them all right now). if you watch the show you dont even notice the swearing, it just emphasizes a point better(most of the time that point is how stupid something is :) ) and makes it a little funnier too.
as for disgusting, the only episode that i think has gone too far was the paris hilton one, but that was HILARIOUS
btw, i'm not trying to argue with you, i'm just stating my 2 cents i guess
Yet, the Simpsons is about 10 time wittier with out the use of swear words. I agree with Morph on his statement.
It's also farily well known that the early writers of the Simpsons were mostly Harvard graduates. Saw that in an interview with Matt Groening on TV recently.

they were, but after 16 season!!!!!! its hard to stay fresh. but you have to have an open mind aboutt he show becuase if not then you already go into watching the show already pre-judged. if you have enver heard anything about the show and you go in and watch for the first time i think you'll liek it. but its also a show for people who can laugh at others and themselves becuase south park makes fun of EVERYONE. i'm jewish and man O man does kyle get it but thats one of the funnist parts of the show. just dont think of it a filthy trash and try to see the real comedy in it.
but ok yea, simpsons does have more wit
btw, if anyone would liek to challegne me in a simpsons trivia contest, only one rule: no criing when i beat you :!:

Without doubt one of the best TV shows ever is 'Only fools and Horses'. TRUE CLASSIC!! I like watching Gamer.tv but isnt one of my favourite TV shows, not by a long way.
FmanFORPS3
12-30-2004, 17:23
mmmm....'Only fools and Horses'?? ive never heard of that before, whats it mainly about?
Evolution
12-30-2004, 17:31
If you come from Great Britain chances are youve heard of 'Only Fools and Horses'. I cant explain the story or what its really about, its purely an original TV show.
I don't watch T.V much anymore because I am eaither sleeping( I sleep more then the average person) or I am playing sports or snow mobiling I don't game much anymore eaither :? but anyways my favourite shows are: Smallville(I havent seen it in a while so I don't know whats going on) Simpsons, furturama, south park(if I see it is on TV I will watch it but I don't go searching for it) and movies I am a big movie fan other then that I tend to stay away from the T.V
first, watch the episode when cartman thinks he's psychic. that is the funnist thing ever. as for intelectual humor, i'm sorry but i have to disagree, south park exploits many stereotypes and has a lot of shows on current events such as when michal jackson was in the news, when The Passion came out, and other moments(i just cant remeber them all right now).
How on earth does that make it in any way intellectual?
I used to really like south park, but I just got bored of the somewhat repetitive nature of the jokes.
I only watch news channels and the occassional History or Discovery channel special.
The internet, Anime, World of Warcraft, Halo2, Wife, and other forms of interactive entertainment are just more important to me these days, and more enjoyable.

i think mebbe we shoudl from now on specify which counrties some shows are comming from becuase i've never heard of max n paddy road to nowhare, Little Britain, death ringers, or 'Only Fools and Horses'.

Ya, I haven’t heard of those shows either...and does anyone here like "monster garage"? (It shows in North America, not sure about anywhere else)
i think mebbe we shoudl from now on specify which counrties some shows are comming from becuase i've never heard of max n paddy road to nowhare, Little Britain, death ringers, or 'Only Fools and Horses'.
They're all very famous shows here in Britain.
Now monster garage, monster house and American chopper those are probably my favourite shows now that I remember them and I am just like Siren I will watch the occasional discovery channel special or history channel special. I admit I am a odd kid

Used to, but that show grows old very quickly...monster house is the same way. Jesse James is very jealous of the sucess of the Tutels (Paul and Pauly). The reason I say this is because at the American Choppers message board on the Discovery site he has a username he posts with once in a while...seemed everytime he said something he was flaming the guys at OCC. He's kind of a jerk.

I would say, Malcom in the Middle. I really don't watch TV because I have local channels and I'm mostly doing chores (damn, my mom piles up alot on me) or online. King of the Hill is hilarious too. Hmmm.... What else? Nope, I guess that's it.
King of the Hill is another one of those shows that requires one to think to find the humour, what a great show. I can problly relate alot easier to it than others as this has to do with the type of people you might find in East Texas...seeing as I have realitives that live there some are very much like the characters you find on that show.

Lol, that's cool. I might go eastern some day. Simpsons is just plain dumb now. It used to be funny along time ago but now. Nah, it ain't worth it.
Southpark is hypocritic. They show Jesus doing wierd stuff like in one there is Jesus fighting Satan. That was dumb.
Family Guy is hilarious, although it is a copy of simpsons it's all about the writers. Homer is just predictable so that doesn't make him funny. Peter is undescribable.

^
Family Guy is brilliant. Stewie and Peter always have me laughing within 5 minutes.
Besides the occasional news show I hardly ever watch TV anymore.
I have a TV in my room, but that's solely used for San Andreas these days.
I used to love 6 Feet Under.
That was probably the best show drama series I've ever seen.
Those surreal moments were the best.
Maybe I should start seeing it again when the re-run starts in February...
I love the baby that trys to take over the world, in family guy...
Simpsons are cool..
Little Britain is like OMG i cant belive you just said that!
i like nip/tuck thats really gripping drama
Dead ringers is melo-dramatic and i dont really find it funny any more
Peep shows funny as hell, really is something new...
Max and paddys road to noware... really is brillian, Peter Kay is a fantastic comedian in this contry....
i also like Top gear, nice cars, and its funny from time to time...
nuff said from me now... untill then...

I’m starting to really like the show called 'Myth Busters' (on the discovery channel). 'Myth busters' is about 2 people that test myths and see if they're true, false, plausible, or confirmed. And if the myth isn’t true, they test it to the limit.

My favorite show has to be The Fresh Price of Bel-Air. Recently, they've been showing like 5 hour blocks on nick-at-night :D
My favorites are:
X-Files (Best TV-series ever although it already ended some years ago. But still got all seasons on DVD :D!)
Stargate (Got on DVD also, lol)
Lost (Seen only 1st season)
4400 (Started here in Finland couple weeks ago and looks cool)
The Simpsons
Myth Busters (This is great show, it's cool how they test different myths see if they're true or not)
Sopranos
American Chopper (Watch it sometimes and it's pretty ok..)
There are probably more fav's but can't remember atm...

I really don´t get what people like about that show.
Come on! Emmerdale is great. It's cheesy, it has great storylines and lots of sleazy characters. What more could anybody want from a soap?
I loved Father Ted too. The Christmassy Ted episode made me giggle, especially the unexpected way that Mrs Doyle falls through the window when putting up the christmas decorations.
1. Fresh Prince of Bell-air/ Fawlty Towers...it might be old, but still hilarious!
2. Myth Busters on Discovery
3. Expeditie Robinson, great TV show!
4. As the World Turns...it is a soap , but so fun and predictable!

House
That's about it.
Also, I used to watch the DCAU which would rank as my favorite TV show universe of all time followed by either 24 or Avatar.
I used to also dismiss Avatar as being too kid-friendly like most of Nick's shows but surprisingly it got real dark, real fast, even the first season which goes from light to dark is really good. And it has a really great, complex story. It also has subplots involving genocide (not to say this is a good thing but I'm just surprised it's on Nick) and the like including stuff like seeing Aang's father-like figure's corpse (you see his skeleton).

I forgot about Takeshi's Castle. I love this show, with classic challenges like Stepping Stones, Boulder Dash, Bridge Ball and Honeycomb Maze...it has me in stitches everytime. The finale is so funny as well, all the odds are stacked up against the contestants especially when it's the water fight final. The contestants have puny water pistols and the defenders have huge hand cannons. I think I've only seen a couple of people actually win.

07-10-2006, 19:44
I love the High Rollers, Wipeout, Stepping Stones, Poles Apart, Dragon Lake and Mushroom Spin games the most as they're the ones with the most potential for injury. Wipeout has me in stitches when a semi-respectable Japanese lady steps onto the surfboard for the first time only to fall off, hit the side of the board with her hip and cartwheels multiple times into the water.
High rollers is by far the best Takeshi's Castle game. If there is a god, TV production companies should already be planning a UK equivalent of Takeshi's Castle with crackhead Craig Charles as the commentator.

Today I saw an episode where this japanese lady fell flat on her face on her run up before she'd even attempted to run across the stepping stones. Oh god that had me laughing for ages. For maximum damage it has to be stepping stones IMO, that game would be banned everywhere else but Japan.
My friend Maiko (who lives in Japan) said the series started in the eighties! I hadn't realised how old it was until I noticed many were wearing glasses that looked far too big for them. Hilarious.

Desperate Housewives is the best television show on nowadays. When there isn't a new episode of that show on, you can catch me watching Starz!, HBO, Cinemax, sometimes Showtime, ESPN, TNT (during the NBA season), Cartoon Network On Demand (for the many DBZ episodes that I haven't seen), Degrassi: The Next Generation, umm...and I would be remiss without mentioning Days of Our Lives. I started watching that soap when I wasn't in school or at work last Fall and now I pretty much watch it everyday I can. But yeah, in terms of the absolute best, nothing tops the Housewives in terms of today's brilliant television programs.

I'm sorry but that programme was absolutely awful. We got the first series on Channel 4 a few weeks back and it bored me rigid.
Channel 4 used to broadcast a brilliant American prison drama called Oz (you've probably all heard of it) but it was on really late at night. The guy who plays Michael in Lost stars as Oz's narrator and as a wheelchair bound inmate. It was violent and crude but it was unmissable tv. I hope the series is shown again some time.

After they stopped beating around the bush and let the show come into its own it got really interesting.
Then they canceled it even though they kept other shows that had far worse ratings.
I've heard of Oz but never saw it. It was supposed to be really good, though.

I would say as of right now my favourite channel would be Filmfour. It's now free and they have a fantastic selection of art house/indie movies as well as dark comedies...you name it they have it. I was watching Lost In Translation the other day, and I'd forgotten what a fantastic film it is. Subtle humour at it's best, and it shows Japan in a new light. Visually it's superb, and it has Scarlet Johansson (bonus!).

It seems some episodes into the higher 200's have been removed. But here is 114.

I never watched dragon ball z, but did they ever get all of the dragon balls?

They got them multiple times. The dragon radar comes in handy. 8)

I watched DBZ everyday after school on Toonami when I was like 8. Ohhhhh, how I hated when they would restart and it'd take 6 months for them to get new episodes. It basically took up my childhood  . I still like DBZ and have most of the games except for the new Super DBZ game (looks kinda lame).
But my favorite show currently has to be South Park. :D

I like South Park too. I couldn't stop laughing at the episode in which Kyle goes to Fox Studios and discovers that Family Guy is written by manatees.

Ok...maybe a bit more introduction and discussion?
E.g. what platforms, what other info have we been give, release date etc.

Adding a big intro makes it too long since there's so much info about the cars. But anyway, if you really want to have info about the game repeated, I've added one and just listed the car names so the entire article will be shorter. I still think the extra car info is more inportant though.
Electronic Arts has recently released a partial list of the cars which will appear in its upcoming racing game, Need For Speed Carbon. Set to launch thus November, the street racer will star Canadian actress Emmanuelle Vaugier and in true EA fashion, will appear on every console known to man.
EA has confirmed that there will be three car classes in the game: Tuners which include mid-rang modified cars, the Muscles which include the 70's and 80's American cars and the million dollar Exotics.
According to IGN, the cars which have been confirmed to be in the game are as follows:
Audi Le Mans Quattro (2007)
BMW M3 GTR (2003)
Daimler Chrysler 300C SRT-8 (2006)
Daimler Mercedes-Benz CLK 500 (2005)
Fiat Alfa Romeo Brera (2006)
Ford Mustang GT (2006)
Nissan 350Z Fairlady Z (2006)
Lamborghini Murcielago (2004)
Lotus Elise 111R (2004)
Porsche Cayman S (2006)
Toyota Supra (1998)
Volkswagen Golf R32 (2006)

I really enjoy "Every Body Loves Raymond". I'm in college away from my family, so I guess it gives me a sense of family. It's hilarious too. The unspoken dialouge between the family members is just great. The entire family is great.

THE SIMPSONS!

Jeez I completely forgot about 24. I think thats one of the greatest TV series ever! 24 is more like an addicting drug than a TV series. I went through the first season in 3 days on dvd.
Family Guy is excellent too. One of my favorite parts was when Meg was getting new clothes at the mall and when the store lady looks at her, she douses herself with gasoline, sets herself on fire, and jumps out a window! Greatness!
South Park, jeez, another great series. I'm too tired to type any more praises.
