I just managed to get my japanese pns account running. There appears to be a demo that has a cat thing on the pic. I run the demo, and it gives me a progress bar for about 5 minutes, before an error message in japanese.

Does anyone know what this program is, and why it's giving me errors?

I have it, and unless you understand (written) Japanese, leave it alone.
It's 2 cats that talk a whole lot, and then you can customise his house, make him eat, invite friends, play games. Like a super Tamagochi.
I've never played it since.

BTW. The game is called doko demo issho, which means 'let's go everywhere together'. I'm guessing your error message is in Japanese right? It's not possible to take a picture of your screen is it? I should be able to tell you what it means if you can do that.

It plays fine (my wife messes around with it sometimes) on my Japanese PS3. Perhaps there is some kind of regional issue.

I bought mine in France, and the game works fine, all of them, US/JP/HK. But I did get errors, with Def Jam and a few vids. I don't know about a US console.

I re-downloaded it, and have played it...Erm....yeah....well, a cat walks around a bit, and it talks. A lot. It's like a Tamagotchi that never shuts up. At one point, another cat came in and they did a TV show type chat. They basically stood in front of photographs and there was lots of Japanese text.

The golf demo is cool, though, and Devil May Cry 4 looks samey.

BTW, Mainichi Issho is mainly daily news in Japanese but it's not only that anymore.

In March, they have added what's called Right Brain Battle.
It's a mini game that you play against some other random people online.

In this game, you get roughly ten sets of three answer multiple choice questions. Whoever answers first gets point. Most questions are doable even if you cannot read Japanese, but one type of question you need to know requires you to be able to recognize Japanese money because they show random number of Japanese coins and ask how much is total.

Oh I forgot to mention, yes it's free.
Click on the tab that says "ゲーム” then Second tab. (1st one is single player right brain challenge, which allows you assess IQ (not real IQ though).
