Ok .. .I was at school this week and I was telling my friend about some of the information I have pulled off this site and what new things I have learned about PS3 and Xbox360... but I have not heard much about the new revolution.. He told me he heard that there will be backwards capability with all of the nintendo games from gamecube and down.... he said you would be able to play all of the Nintendo games that ever existed ... how is this possibal... download able content... ? extra bays for old games what? I'm learning more towards the online download content... but what about people that don't have the internet.. what if they wanted to play these games.. what do they have to do to get them on there revolution...?

And that added what to the current topic...

The Revolution is supposed to be able to download games from the older consoles
If they dont have the internet, then basically they are screwed for backwards compatability...

Gamecube MAY work if they allow the discs to be read from the DVD drive, but i dont see that happening to be honest...

I dont think Nintendo will make any other way of you being able to play them really, especially discs or cartridges, that will cost even more money than files on a server.

Actually, Revolution is completely backwards compatable with Gamecube, right down to the controllers and memory cards. The disc loading drive in Revolution is unique as it accepts both smaller sized and standard size discs.
