Dude, Nintendo hasnt hardly revealed any information about thier next console. We know no more than your friend, nor does your friend know anymore than us. Be carefull about what rumours your willing to take as fact.

wait... ive heard rumor's that the GameBoy Evolution May infact be a portable Gamecube? sounds rather unlikely if you ask me, but rumors are fun :P

anyway this is a revolution thread, so i will post about the current topic.

maybe there is a custom screen on top of the system, or what about the screen projecting a 3-D image in front of you, kind of like a hologram?

I dont know they called it revolution in the first place. Do you have any idea why? The Gamecube and N64 has their name for a purpose for describing what features has on it. What is the revolution is going be all about? No one in here really that anwser. Seem like a sercet about they new name "Revolution".
Im wonder if this is the hint: Ape>> Caveman>> Homo Sapian???

its called the revolution because Nintendo is stating that it's going to be revelotionary. thats mainly it.

What make it so revelotionary compare to the Xbox2 and PS3? I find it strange to have name like that. I mean the gamecube revelotionary to N64.
I think it silly name "revolution". I think it aiming toward a younger audiences .

Well, what’s so revolutionary, we don’t know, but what we do know is that Nintendo said they're not going to put a D-pad or A and B buttons on the controller. So I guess because of that that’s one reason they're using the name 'Revolution'.

We don't know much about Xenon, PS3 or Revolution. There's nothing strange about the name. It's just a code name, just like the GameCube was being called "Dolphin"...which is definitely strange. There's no way to tell what "revolution" Nintendo will be implementing into their next console until they come out and officially say something. They are keeping a tight lid on the subject.

well nintendo is fully aware that the hype gamers create through open forums (both physical and digital) is what sells consoles and systems. So, it's safe to assume that the "code name" was picked specifically to ignite the interest of gamers (and to show up in some wierd places when you search on google, but hey, its a legitimate way to get your name out there now).

The fact that we have known about it for a while now i think is part of their very clever buissness plan. We have been hearing lots of "leaks" in the last few months about nintendo in general terms , none of them very credible, but im willing to bet that most were intentional to keep the hype machine giong.

They realize that the stakes if they let MS AND SONY get ahead of them in hype. All of a sudden it goes from being
david vs. goliath, to David vs goliath vs goliath TAG TEAM WREASTLING

Thats a great example of why Back-compat. is such an important feature in today's market. People like the games they are used too, they are comfortable with them. I dunno if this brand new idea of Nintendo's is going to get embraced by a public who is already pretty comfortable. It had better be pretty addicting.

It is called the Revolution because it will cause your local middleclass intellectuals to rebel against the oppressive regime of the clergy and the nobles.
It will then proceed to enforce an even more oppressive regime based on egalitarianism.

Nintendo is great with names...

Codemasters will publish a first person shooter in 2007 called Fall of Liberty that will transform the World War II genre.

The game will be developed by Spark Unlimited, who are behind Call of Duty: Finest Hour, for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Fall of Liberty twists the reality of WWII. Winston Churchill has been killed by a taxi in New York, and in December 1951, the Nazis, who are still at large, invade the United States of America.

The following image is the only media released for the game so far. But it alone is intriguing, with Nazi swastikas draped onto the White House.
