This thread is pertaining to to heating up homerun race not helped by steroids. Prince Fielder stands at 24 and A-Rod stands 26 , A-Rod is on pace for 64 and Prince is on pace for 57 , if both hit 60 that would be great. A-Rod is also on pace for 170 rbi's ..just a bit off Hack Wilson's record of 191. It would be great for baseball Tom Glavine getting 300 wins both Prince and A-rod hitting 60+ and A-rod breaking the RBI record.
Prince Fielder Totals
Current Total
26-61
Projections
57-134
A-rod Totals
Current Total
28-76
Projections
63-171

Im Barry Bonds fan but Id like Prince or A-rod or both to break Bonds single season record just so a non juicer has that claim again.

I think if A-Rod stays healthy then he could pass Bonds and Aaron for most home runs!

No doubt . Im also predicting Albert Pujuls does as well. So in 20 years when ppl look at the all time hr list A-rod/Pujols will 1/2 IMO.

That's just for all the people that say baseball is boring, despite the fact that so many TRULY GREAT players are blossoming before us.

This is so true so many examples , Like Prince Fielder this year chasing for 60 , Verlander throwing for a no hitter , Ryan Howard last year almost hitting 60 and the examples could go on for awhile
Barry Bonds still thinks he has two more years in him...so it isn't out of the question for him to hit 800 homeruns.
I'm sorry, but 800 will be out of reach for any of the current MLB superstars.

Bonds mind think he can but his knees says otherwise...lol , personally I think this is his last season. If he wanted to extend his career he'd have to do it as a DH imo and even then I see going as far maybe 775 if he played 2 more years. And on to others...actually 2 others that I think may have a chance at 800, A-rod currently has 491 through 14 seasons and is currently 31 , without trying to predict what he'll do for the rest of the season that puts him at a aveage of 35.07 hr's a season if he plays 6 more seasons or till he's 37 he'll be at 705 and thats not even counting what's he's going to add this season with could be from 15-25 more and I personally think he'll play into at least his 40's if he doesnt get a ring between now and 6-8 years , sure he's going to have to stay healthy and stay at production but IMO I think theres at least a 55% chance of him 800 , now to the 2nd current player Albert Pujols ...he stands at 266 in his career through 7 seasons , that puts his average at 38 and the fact that he already has a ring could effect his decision to play into his 40's but saying that he does that would add 494 more or for a total 760 and I think there's at least 50-60% chance he hits for at least 800 as well , what's more interesting about Pujols is when he'll actually hit for less than 30 homers , his career low is 34 in his 2nd season and thats puts him up there with the already greats... Im not sure what the record for straight 30 homer seasons is but sure 8 straight is getting within the record .
