IGN has been showing EA just how crappy they are when it comes to making the quick buck at a new system launch, They are without a doubt charging people BLINDLY 59.99 per game, just for something that is worse then the previous gen xbox version.

I hope EA learns a lesson and people understand just how badly they are being ripped off, but then again its a new system launch and people will blindly default to the sports games of uber mess. :twisted:
Well, I actually like what EA did with NBA Live. Even though the game didn't have all the same features, they rebuilt it from the ground up so next year's version can really shine. That just means I'll have to wait another year for it though :(

EA won't care, they know people will buy it. This is why they are a multi million doller developer. They know how the games are simular people will buy them. Mostly too when they own the licesne to thinks like NFL.

plus parents and stupid kids buying this system for themselves or as gifts i dont think will even care, plus most assume the are better then previous versions.. :?

Those are bad scores? I didn't know... I always thought that if a game gets over a 8.0, it's pretty much a given that you must buy it.

you might want to put the bold on the 360 version. i didn't notice that and was about to type that anything over an 8 is alright to me. but jeez, that's HORRIBLE!

Pretty much to me 8.0 + is acceptable 9.0 is a must buy. Especially from IGN, if they are stuck on the edge of giving it a 8.5 or a 9 and decide either way you know there's got to be something wrong orsomething they really liked about it to go the way they chose.
EA is crap. The only game they did really good on was American McGee's Alice (PC) research that game. I played and beat it twice, it was very original.

I am with IGN and they really deserve this. Wasn't EA the first one to actualy announce their games are going to be 59.99. If it is I am boycotting all their games :twisted:
I'm still mad at EA for buying the NFL license. That's just BS, can't believe they got away with it.

I'm kind of tired of the EA bashing. What do expect out of sports simulator games really, them to be extremely innovative? Also aren't you the people who are always talking about how its all about gameplay not graphics, even though the Need for Speed series I think has excellent graphics. I don't buy many games at all, and the ones I do, I really do my research on, and I've noticed that most of them happen to be EA games. Though yes, I don't like how they are gobbbling up the competetion, but don't forget that they, like all other game makers are a company, and are in it to make money.

I believe they're being generous to EA on this stuff... I'd start their games at a 7 out of 10 just for having EA on the box...

i am d/l nba live now but thanks for not trying to say its the xbox360's lack of power and point to the real issue here EA. im willing to bet 2k6 games where way better they useually are for me anyways.

Hey... not all of us are just rabid 360 haters... we're just hyper-critical gamers alot of the time with our hobby/passion...
It is inexcusable to leave out gameplay options from a more expesnive version of the game. Plus, Mark Rein of Epic said that the next gen doesn't really have to cost all that much more than the previous gen. The publishers are trying to get away with highway robbery because of "pretty graphics".. Even though, they've had machines that push out this kind of graphical power for a long time. (no, thats not a dig on the 360, either, big publishers like EA have supercomputers to make models on)
Shame on EA!

They really took out gameplay features in the games? I didn't know that, so yes, that is a rip off. But I'm still tired of the EA getting slammed for everything they do on these forums.
