lol, this has been brought up in lots of other threads too...You don't get skill points for posting in the general topics. They don't show in general topics (the skill points on the left <<<). the admins made an announcement about it.

Movie giant Fox has announced recently that they will be releasing Blu-ray 8 movies in the same launch window as Sony's upcoming PlayStation 3. The movies will be released on November 10th in Japan and November 14th in North America, Europe and Australia, while the PlayStation 3 is scheduled to hit Japan on November 11th and November 17th in other regions.

As one of the developers of the Bly-ray format, Sony has hoped that the inclusion of a Blu-ray player in the PlayStation 3 will help sell both the format and the console. This decision has been met with mixed opinions- fans welcome the format as a necessary step forward in the evolution of consoles due to its larger storage space of up to 50GB, while critics point at its high pricing.

Fox is one of the latest movie companies to jump onto the Blu-ray bandwagon and touted the benefits of the format's large storage capacity in its press release. “Blu-ray Disc is a next generation optical disc format developed for high-definition video and high-capacity software applications. A single-layer Blu-ray Disc holds up to 25 gigabytes of data and a dual-layer Blu-ray Disc holds up to 50 gigabytes of data. This greater storage capacity enables the Blu-ray Disc to store over six times the amount of content than is possible with current DVDs, and is particularly well-suited for high definition feature films with extended levels of additional bonus and interactive material,” read the announcement.

The titles to be released by Fox are as follows:
