Yes because it has 4X HDMI inputs for optimal digital connectivity. Use HDMI cable for OPtimal Video Performance.
Thanks

Btw ive seen this tv @ costco is one NICE tv i must say Vizio are really bright and nicely done (you get it) your a lucky sob :-) lol
Yea, but IMO...it would probably look better on a 1080p 60" sxrd for a similar price. I mean c'mon, it is only a Visio.

Sony or Samsung are the way to go when it comes to HDTVs, instead of buying a cheaper one, save for a little while and get something nicer.

That TV doesn't do 1080p (it makes it into a 1080i image). I'd say at that size you'd really want that resolution.

I agree, Sony was my choice and I got no regrets.

Skyline,
FYI - KDS-R60XBR1 was replaced by the newer model KDS-R60XBR2. Hope that helps. I'd go and read some reviews on those TVs.

yes..but i'd go for a 1080p one rather than a 720p one if your aiming for a screen that size. it'd be worth it in the end.

Umm ... not sure if you were referencing my post but both the KDS-R60XBR1 and KDS-R60XBR2 are native 1080p.

Yes, I do love my Pio Plasma even if its "only" 720p. :)

1080p is what you need to get. also the contrast on the sammy dlps and sony sxrds is 10k:1 while that vizio was only 7k:1. Plus you will get burn in.
Crutchfield has a good guide on what the good/bad is of the current tv technologies.
But if you want to wait they will soon be LASER tv if the australian company pulls though.
thats a nice tv but plasmsa dont last as long with video games
u get burn in after a while. with lcd u dont get burn in
go with a samsung tv

i have a question. can you play your PS3 on any PC monitor or do you need a HDMI?
You need a PC Monitor that's HDCP Compliant, otherwise you're going to have to go with the backdoor solution and convert the component signal the PS3 gives into a VGA signal so that you can at least play in 720p. Of course 720p looks frickin awesome.
A good rule of thumb when deciding on a PC Monitor is if a Monitor is advertised to have an HDMI port, you know it's HDCP Compliant and all the plugs are too. For newly furnished Monitors with D-SUB and DVI Ports, you should check to see if the words "HDCP Compliant" or "DVI(HDCP)" appear anywhere. The smartest of LCD Monitor Manufacturers will advertise it, so if you don't see the tags, it's probably not HDCP Compliant.
1080p isn't everything unless you got a 47" or higher (IMO) just because at that size, more pixels can be displayed. You can't go wrong with a 720p monitor. First off, at 720p, all games are set like that for now so you're going to enjoy the fullest of your experience. Or if you're playing Lair in the near future, the PS3 will downconvert the 1080p signal to 720p and ultimately you're going to get a smoother display than one displayed at 720p natively, so either way you win with 720p.
If you had the 60' Vizio Plasma HDTV the T.V. has, then you should start looking into 1080p. Plasma screen IMO are the best large scren HDTVs for the best bang for the buck. They can display dark levels better than LCDs, they have better contrast ratios, the life on a Plasma is about the same as LCD, and best of all, it's cheaper. The most you can get for $2500 (which is what the T.C.'s HDTV is worth) is an LCD screen at around 47in-50in. C'mon, number speak for itself! 60" inches is alot of real estate! Hell 22" is alot!
