There's a few Sims games already out on PS2, I believe. Where have you been? I used to be into the Sims game, until I realized I was wasting a great deal of my time fixing little character's lives, when I should have been fixing my own. ;)

This game seriously needs to be revamped graphically....it's so outdated [but it has come a LONG way]. This would look fantastic on PS3.

yea i agree, i also used to be into the sims but i got board...i mean its coolto get new items here and there but to me it feels like the same process over and over.....they should make one on the ps3 and add nice features such as being able to move around in ur neighborghood and going to the mall...etc. Basically more freedom....

Do you mean the orignal Sims game was outdated, or The Sims 2? :suspect:

Sims 2 is quite an improvement in the series, IMO. It doesn't make you command all the Sims for simple tasks like going to the bathroom anymore. They don't just stand there and wet their pants, they just relieve themselves in the bathroom accordingly. If you don't like it, then you don't like it.

oh my dear lord... some people are so into their playstations they completely miss out on what is going on in the PC world...

The sims 2 is the latest sims game, which is most definitely not out on ps2, and is most definitely not graphically outdated :p

I bought the game for my girlfriend only to find I had to buy her a new video card the next day for her to be able to run it. (to answer the question in the previous post, the card I bought her was a radeon 9200 and the game now runs fine.).

beautiful game btw, stunning graphics and depth of gameplay.

I have the Sims 2 on my computer, and yes it is quite improved graphically [which I stated in my 2nd post]. I feel like I can get closer to the characters, and the improved customization aspect has added a lot more fun to the game. There's nothing "oh my dear lord" about it. ;)

Ok, at first i was a little weirded out on the whole way the graphics were and how to play.. Now from playing many hours of this *blush* (yes im addicted!) haha. It has grown on me and well i love playing GOD!! haha.. I really enjoy the fact where you have the whole transitition of the ages baby-elder and how u can put the cheat in to turn it off.. They upgraded this soo much from the first, and thats wat makes it soo good!

But have to say, from buying The sims and all its expansion packs and rarely playing it now (is quite expensive) and now buying this whole new program and patiently waiting for the expansion packs (wondering how much those are gonna be -- anyone kno!?)

Hopefully with the expansion packs for the SIMS 2 may get sum ideas from the first one.. cuz it would be cool if we had an pets expansion pack for this sims2 and possibly countless others that are way better then the first..

So does anyone out there know when the first expansion pack will be out (i think its that universtity one) and if there is works for a 2nd one or a poll to suggest on wat to make next??

ya i am sims fan, and the sims has come along way i agree, and the sims 2 did a good job with making it 3-D and i bet you homies that in like 2 yrs it will one of the best games with more real emotions, actions, and basically just putting this planet earth into their sim earth.

i think they will add sims to ps3 but not soon.

Oh i love the sims, i did get sims2, but i couldnt play it, and well im a little lazy, havent got a new pc card, plus this was while i just have a laptop, going to get a PC soon though :D

Ive had alot of fun on sims, i have all of the sims1 games except sims online...i cant find it anywhere

Some of the houses i built were amazing, so amazing i wish i lived in them.

haha i love being evil (usually when i get bored)
Like say you make a square room, fill all the floor with rugs but leave a space in the middle, buy a firework stand, get someone to go in and let one off, remove the door, down comes the firework and WHOOSH the whole room goes up in flames

Im and evil git, once i even made a prison haha, made cells, with beds, wall showers, big windows made from metal poles, it actually did look like a prison, and i made 2 seperate-like houses, they were joined however.
2 people lived in one house and they made food for the other people, they were secluded off from the prison area though, these 2 people couldnt get out the house though, well no they could, but i never let them.
There was another one person who lived in the front house where he controlled payments for things, job, mail etc..

Another house i made was one that was floating (massive but extremely cool bug in the game)
Underneath it i had a fenced party area :D
Underneath the kitchen was stairs going down to the little garden where i can grow vegetables, and on the opposite side to that is the little square room of evilness  haha

Shame really that my harddrive died and ive probably lost all these houses i made, but i did make a backup of them somewhere else on the hard drive, heres hoping that didnt get wrecked as well.

edit:

Also as for it coming out on PS2 or PS3, doubt it will for PS2, i think EA have realised how much they can do with the PS2 with the Sims games, i didnt find them much fun to be honest, also with the limited sizes for things, plus you cant get a second floor!!
And you cant really get new items for it either, or can you in bustin' out, i dont even know LOL, ive hardly played the thing to be honest.

PS3 however, this does have a hard drive, so that could be good, im sure a game like sims would get lots of fans to buy a hard drive.

Oh man if i were them i would just leave Sims2 to the PC, or maybe bring it on PS3, cause it just wouldnt do well on PS2 i dont think, the previous sims games werent that good to be honest.

I found them more of a chore than something fun to do, and plus, you couldnt get new things, updated through the net, or updated with newer releases, like sims house party, sims hot date, etc, the expansion packs is what makes the game good, new models, new features..thats why it does so well on PC rather than the console.

Where'd you hear this from?

well in my opinion i think it is boering on the PC so i thought i should try it out on the XBOX and i got bored after a while but then wen u play in Cooperative it gets kind of interesting...

I used to love the sims. but I keep geting my save date delete by the computer. the ps3 would be great for this game, as long as it has online like the sims online.

Yeh that would be fun, but they release it on PS2 an they will lose money, it wont do good at all, the limited memory will make the thing explode, Sims just wouldnt work on the current gen consoles well enough, no way lol
I wish they hadnt done this, it will do well cause of the name, but i dont think (unless they have somehow made the game engine 10x better at handling the game areas) it will be as good.
I hate having limited memory in a game like Sims or Sims2, it gets annoying when you run out of memory.

Although 2 player is fun, i will admit that hehe, having that on PS3 will 2 TVs would be awesome!
The next gen consoles would be able to handle it better, i'd love to see it on PS3, that would be good, could use the HDD for game saves (if it can use it for game saves, damn well better be allowed to or i will hit Sony on the head!)

well it is coming to this gen system as i posted the link to gamestop. coming to ps2 xbox or xbox360 and psp and ds. the psp would be fun because you do have the memory but i think the ps2 version will be like the sims 1 and bustin out just with some new things in it. i really like the urbz theme, glad it droped in price now i can get it, i think it will be a good game next gen.

I've had the Sims 2 since Christmas and I think it has really improved a lot since the other versions. It lets you do so many new things and make your characters much more realistic and exact. The only thing I noticed and didn't like is that your charectors often do the most interesting things on their own and you cant make them do it when you want them to. Once the expansion packs come out Sims 2 will have way more options and it may be to many choices.

Parabellum
By: Justin Pinter

Developed by Acony, Parabellum is the newest announced PS3 title which mixes strategy and first person shooting for the ultimate tactical action in gaming today.

So far, details are scarce on Parabellum, but what we do know is that the story takes New York City during a terrorist attack by the group "Black November." They are threating to blow the city to ruble if the US doesn't pull out its military from the middle east. Your mission is to stop them from detonating a 20 Megaton nuclear warhead in the city.

Basically you will be fighting terrorists through out all of New York City and it doesn't just stop there. From the looking at the screens, it looks as if you will be moving into the subway systems as well. ACONY descibes the single and multiplayer expeirence as '...campaigns which allow you to go anywhere. It is possibly the biggest online shooter environment ever created. Flank your enemy, prepare ambushes, decide when and where you attack. But remember that T:I:M:E is running out."

Parabellum is set to include 12 specific weapons with up to 10 modifications per weapon plus special items and equipment. A unique gameplay feature talked about is how the gear you carry will effect your movement and your abilities on the battleground.

More will be known on the title as development for the game continues. We will update you when Acony announces more later this year.
