If I had an HDTV, I would want the Rev to have HD support... although HD only sharpens the graphics... not improves them... and the power not spent on supporting HD, can go to actually improving graphcis...

Soooo hmmm... changing the Revolution... nope, I can't think of anything good I would want to change... XD

Nothing really, so far it's the perfect system. Maybe completely free downloads of atleast the SNES games. Or the ability to play all NES SNES and N64 games instead of just Nintendo games.

Other than that.. I really don't want them to change anything.

I say the controller. I just don't like it.

I'd like free downloads of all Nintendo's back catalogue too, but thats not going to happen. Besides I'm not overly bothered forking out money for so many quality titles which haven't come over to europe e.g. Chrono Cross. I'll be like a kid in a candy shop all over again.

The rumor so far is that NES and SNES games are free while N64 will have a small fee.

You're right though, it's shaping up to be the perfect system if people can only get past the fact of it's graphics and come back to what really matters. Gameplay. Also, this is coming from a 360 fan although I may sound like a Nintendo fan all the way now. Mind you, they are my favorite company but they don't create my favorite system.

I'm getting all systems by the way, before someone jumps on me for not mentioning Sony in there.

I think the games should be different because the only games nintendo makes is the cartoon type games (with no blood, head chopping nothing) so they should make R-rated games.

Things are looking good for the Revolution and i cant really think of something i would like to change, at least of what its known so far.

More mature games would be nice since I'm loosely grouped in the "hardcore gamer" category, but if they have decent 3rd party support then that won't be a problem. Lack of HD support is what makes it cheap.

I always fight in my head over the idea of having the gamecube's A, B, X, Y arrangement on the Revo's controller instead of that huge lonely A. Of course that would make the controller more complicated.

I'll have to go with free downloads, since I'm a P2P junkie :-P

If I could change one thing about the Revolution, it would be DVD. I really like my consoles to be able to play games, and music and DVD's. Maybe I've gotten a bit spoiled :)

I thought that Nintendo was going to use the DVD format for there games or has that not been comfirmed yet.

We havent hear anything from nintendo. So i dont really know wat i would change. With all that said, this thread is pretty much pointless.

It would be cool if they updated their specs and got something like a GeForce 7800 or something. Then they could have multi-platform games and play games like Gears of War or something.

well they want UT2007 to the revolution if it was possible, and since we don't know the specs of the system only time can tell!

Maybe they should stick with super mario, zelda, and all the other nintendo franchises.

It would be nice if they made alot of N64 online compatible with the Rev. Think of playing Goldeneye or the Original Perfect Dark Online. Sweeeetness!

The Remote Control sticking out of the controller looks silly

But I don't really care how it looks, as long as it plays well.

My thoughts exactly.

But I don't really care how it looks, as long as it plays well.

It looks a bit clumsy to be playing on such a controller with a remote sticking out. I hope they will let you use original controllers to.

How about a Mario or Zelda MMO.....I think the revolution would be perfect for online old style gaming and MMO's. Think of all the franchises they could simply turn over and make into MMOPRG's....lol...That would be great.

Are you serious about that controller + remote picture? It looks Photoshopped.

Mr. Solanky
12-29-2005, 15:30
It's just a photoshop, or at least I think so, But Nintendo said they plan to have attachments on the controller. I think it is backwards compatible with the GameCube controller, which is good news. Because I couldn't take playing all my games with a remote. I think my arms would get kind of tired.

Well, the only thing I could think of would be free downloads of Nintendo games, or I hope that Nintendo has full 3rd party support, like in the N64 days.

I think Epic already deny making game for Revolution like UT2007, cause one of their developer is alreayd making fun of that control.

Yeah I agree, free downloads of the snes games would be so awesome.

I personally don't see anything wrong with their controller. I like having bigger buttons. All of the other controllers have like 18 million buttons... it's nice to have a controller that's basic.

Mr. Solanky
12-29-2005, 23:27
Yeah, For once a basic controller would be nice. But if you want complex, then you can hook up the GameCube controller.

I would change the controller to be more of normal controller instead of the remote style that they are going with and drop the motion sensor idea.

I hope that one day you'll eat your words...

In fact I know you will because...motion-sensors are the next-step along the road for console gaming if you want to interact more freely with 3-D enviroments...

It's evolution at it's best...Nintendo just happned to bring it out earlier then expected...

St Jude I will never eat my words. For everybody knows that keyboard and mouse can beat any controller out on the market and any that will ever come out. Plus I am the most stubborn person a live. Add all that with the doubt I have that regular people will have the skill to use that controller and I say it will fail.FAIL!

Note to St Jude lets not make this became like the Revolution in the sub $300's topic, with those extremely long posts. So keep the posts short.

Get ready to boggle your minds PS3 and PSP owners, echochrome will be hitting the PSN tomorrow!

Coming as part of tomorrow's PlayStation Store update, both the PS3 and PSP versions of echochrome will be available for the PlayStation populace to download on the PlayStation Store for the PS3 and via the PC Store for the PSP. Although there are minor differences in each version, both versions will be priced at $9.99. On the PS3 side there will be 56 unique levels, while the PSP will feature 56 completely different levels unique to the PSP version (so if you splurge on both versions you get 112 levels overall).

Although simplistic in its design, echochrome manages to provides gamers with puzzle gameplay that is both fun and addictive while drawing gamers in with its elegant yet simple graphics. The concept behind the game is inspired by the famous MC Escher artwork, which explores infinity, architecture and impossible constructions. Echochrome puts you in control of the camera and perspective on an infinite canvas, guiding a mannequin figure by carefully tilting and turning the level to create a continual pathway, allowing your character to walk safely through the design.

Included on both version is a "canvas mode" which allows you to create your own puzzles from scratch and share them with your friends or even the world. The PS3 version will allow you to share the levels over the internet while the PSP only via ad-hoc sharing. Get your PSN wallets ready for echochrome tomorrow!

Danny, you misspelled 'tomorrow' a lot. Take note of that.

Otherwise, it was an article that required a fair but not ridiculous amount of editing. Please note the changes.
