I know this is not an PS3 topic or not even an Sony topic but I thought you might want to know. Here is some information I have found on Nintendo's new system. It is just here say at the moment but take a look.

The dirt on Nintendo’s next-gen Revolution console?
There’s already been at least one dodgy “leak” before about the Revolution, but supposedly the same tipster who dished some reliable early dirt on the DS has also given up some details about Nintendo’s next-generation game console. Here’s what this guy is claiming:
That Nintendo is building gyroscopes into the controllers, presumably to add some sort of motion-control aspect to games.
The console will have dual processors and built-in broadband (we’re assuming Ethernet, but maybe also WiFi?).
There are no plans to connect the DS to the Revolution, but there could be some integration with the Game Boy Evolution.
The Revolution will have four controller ports, a hard drive, and support for high-resolution displays and Dolby Digital 5.1 channel surround sound.
The console will be backwards-compatibility with GameCube games, and in what would only be a swipe at Sony, its drive will use HD-DVD, rather than Blu-ray, discs.
The console will launch with a new Mario game (of course), and there is a new Zelda game in the works.
There’s some teaser stuff at the end about how the truly “revolutionary” part of the new console is going to be something that “is nothing new technically speaking. It’s just something that hasn’t really been applied to video games before.” The tipster also claims that his source would only tell him that “touching is good but feeling is better.”
We’re not even going to front that this stuff is all for real or not—we simply won’t know for sure until Nintendo unveils this thing at E3.

Yes thats why we have a Revolution Thread so then we have things 'organized' and quicker to find, and its no doubt that Rebon or Morph will move your thread into its rightful place.

yeah I hope they do because I did not search before I posted this topic. So if I caused any mixup it is my fault.

I moved the thread. Look for the right section next time you want to make a new thread.

Using gyroscopes is a very clever idea, I guess this is the new thing that’s replacing the D-pad but as for the A and B buttons, this 'tipster' has said nothing about it in this article.
Heres the dictionary definition of gyroscopes for you that dont already know what it means (i didnt lol);
A device consisting of a spinning mass, typically a disk or wheel, mounted on a base so that its axis can turn freely in one or more directions and thereby maintain its orientation regardless of any movement of the base.

What's gyroscopes? And awww, HD? :( I guess that's what competition is all about.
But still cool. I'm gonna tell my friend who is a Nintendo Fanboy. He just doesn't bash any other consoles though.

i wonder if this tipster is telling the truth, if he is the Revolution may be the next big thing in gaming that Nintendo has been claiming it is. i hope it is not another virtual boy, we dont need anymore failures from Nintendo, especially in this day and age when hype among casual gamers can make or break a console.
They make gyroscopes without big spinning things, that’s how the Segway Personal Transport stands up.
I'm worried if this is what is supposed to be so revolutionary. "Feeling is better than touching."...? What is that supposed to mean, it's just so cryptic it could mean anything. I respect Nintendo for being brilliant when it comes to hard core gaming, they practically made the industry what it is today. But if the HUGE thing that they are place all their bets on is some sort of new controller that can be copied 6 moths after release and used on any other system, I don’t think that will help them much.

You may be able to tilt the controller instead of using a joystick. That is possibly something I could see the gyroscope used for.
I also remember a thread a while back that showed Nintendo hooking up with a company that made hardware similar to that to conrol the mouse on your computer screen. That may be their "Revolution"ary idea.
I guess since with the DS you control it by "touching" the revolution you will move the controller around to control which is like "feeling" it around.

So does anybody think that it could be going back to the old "power glove" idea. Meaning gloves as controllers and thus you could feel with mostion, and pressure sensitve feedback... and possibly have a way to excert a force to your hands from the gloves for instance to hold a bat, throw a football, grip a gun with recoil effects, etc... I know the technology is out there because I have seen it when I was at engineering school, but I don't know how cost effective it is yet... but it has been 4 years ago
I know what you mean, but i doubt they have a way to creat force feedback in a system like that, but if they have i dont see why it would be solely a nintendo thing (why couldn't it just be copied by MS and Sony?) and in which case, what would make it so revolutionary.
Plus i don't think that that would have as big an effect as they would want unless they had some kind of immersive video screen too (3-D or something)
The console will have dual processors and built-in broadband (we’re assuming Ethernet, but maybe also WiFi?).
Broadband cannot be "built-in". Broadband is a description of internet connection that uses anything more than 1 "band" (e.g.: 64K ISDN is considered broadband, as long as it doesn't use a single band modem, ala 56K, 28.8K, 14.4K, etc...). What they probably meant was built in "ethernet modem", even this is a little on the rumour side (unless Big N has said otherwise), since during a press conference, Big N has said that they will enter Internet Gaming in 3 to 5 years time, and the N Rev should be released within a year or 2, which means that it wouldn't be initially on their big "online debut" plan. Perhaps they are doing what Microsoft did, make a dedicated server, and offer subscription play once the server was set up (as far as I remember, Live was not immediately available, perhaps that's what Big N is trying to do).
That motion info in the controller that leaked sounds cool! Different... I love Mario and Zelda games, and that would be awesome if you could use your Gamecube games so I could give away or sell my GC.
The stuff that Nintendo leaked about the controllers being new and different has to just be a little bit of how the system itself is creative.
Like i said, any really cool controller can just be copied to any system, regardless of suppossed system's restrictions. Eventually, they will get that controller on different systems.
Im really interseted to see how the actual core of the system can change gaming and how it impacts the creation of games (which hopefully will put Nintendo into a niche within the game industry, thus securing their place for a while)

5.1 surround.....theyre ******, Sony is using a new even more fancy than Dolby's. Cant remember the name, it will have support for dolby though.
I'll try to dig it up, probably read it on PS3portal.
Early reports said that they wanted to use HD-DVD?? FIrst off, i doubt this just because i don't see why they would endorse a drive type and let THAT get out into the open when they have hidden eveything else so well. Second, The only reason i see for them to choose it at all is to give them something that is different from Sony, which is a bad idea anyway. Doing something just to be diferent wont be enough, and i think that THAT is the problem that will make or break this system.
If it is just different, it will fail. If it is Innovative and brilliant, it will get back to the top of the pack.
Honestly, I think that if Nintendo wants to stay with the mini discs instead of the CD/DVD thing, there could be a possibility for some good things to happen! Like, they could make a movie or something that could only be watched using those discs! Like, maybe a Zelda movie, or a Metroid movie, or Starfox, etc.

A console's launch titles are one of its most important factors when it comes to a successful launch, and the PlayStation 3 has just had one added to its list. According to an article on IGN.com, the latest Mobile Suit Gundam game will be hitting stores when the PlayStation 3 does in both Japan and North America.
Known as Mobile Suit Gundam: Target in Sight in Japan and Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire in North America, the Mech fighter is being developed by Bandai Namco, and is one of the games which will make an appearance at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.
The PlayStation 3 is set to be launched on November 11th in Japan and November 17th in North America.
