View Full Version : Please help! HDMI problem
Hey guys, just recently my HDMI is not working. It says "cant find signal". Ive searched and did the steps where u reset the ps3 by holding the button down 5 times while changing the settings back to HDMI via component cables. I have then switched my input settings to HDMI and still..no pictue. Does anyone know the problem? I have all the audio and everythign, but just no picture for HDMI. Thanks.

Yea, i had that same problem, turns out my TV was set for Cable and not HDMI, so try to see if something is wrong with your TV thats prolly it, just change the source or w/e ur TV calls it

Is the resolution set properly? What kind of TV do you have? I assume from your post that you had it working at some point.
Yea i changed my source to HDMI on my TV. Its weird...it worked all this time, then about 2 days later it just stopped. I have a 42' RCA scenium LCD tv. I just finished summer school and wanted to start playing again but this isnt helping!!

I know there is some settings in the PS3 menu that will disable the picture on your TV if it cant handle the signal being put into it.
For instance when I switch my settings in BD/DVD section on 24Htz output on 1080p the TV goes blank because it doesn't support the mode.
Maybe for some reason this happened with yours. You could also try resetting the menus on the PS3 to default to see if it will reset any setting that may have caused this.
It's possible that your hdmi cable went bad.

try leaving your hdmi cord unplugged for a while, then plug it back in, worked for me........
