Miami (FL) – Premium computer maker, Alienware, has added 4X Blu-ray read/write drives to its lineup of desktop and laptops. The drives can be ordered as upgrades to the default DVD/CD-ROM burners and wil be available for the Area-51 7500, Aurora 7500, Area-51 ALX and Aurora ALX computers.

Customers will pay an extra $600 to their computer prices if they add a Blu-ray drive.

For people who shell out for Alienwares, that's not a bad price for what you get.

That's nice. I've been planning on upgrading to a notebook with the Santa Rosa chipset in it as soon as they come out with 800 mhz SODIMMs that take advantage of the faster FSB - I guess it will cost a bit more now. :)
