View Full Version : Manhunt PS3 Compatible issue
Hey guys
Just picked up Manhunt from play.com to kinda fill the gap between ps3 release titles I want, and I got the message when putting the game in my PS3 that its not compatible. Is there another firmware I can download or anything to get this game working? Kinda upset as I thought this title would of had no issues playing.
Any help is much appreciated.

If you've already got the latest firmware installed, you'll have to wait until at least the next update.

Manhunt 2 was, not the first one. They're still trying to appeal that decision in the UK.

Oh, woops! Yeah that's right. I still haven't played the first one since it was banned here. Otherwise I'll have to get my PS2 chipped to play it.

80 GB ps3? Pal PS3? I remember it working just fine in the 60GB ps3 but that was a while back.
Its the pal version i got it from play.com for £9.99 (platinum) but for some reason its not working, is this anything to do with a ban? or is it just a case of waiting and hoping when the next firmware is released?

I dont see it even listed there so my guess is it will not work, people should always check that site before buying any ps1 or ps2 games to play on there pal ps3.

Euro consoles & 80GB USA consoles have awful software emulated backwards compatibility compared to the original 60GB US & JAP consoles as they have the PS2 chip built in.

Actually... if you look at it in perspective, they've managed to pull off A LOT with the software emulation. Compared to other consoles anyway...

Why is that website listed for 1.80 firmware? Wasn't 1.90 released about month ago? Does it take them a month to update the website, or what?

I just started playing through Manhunt again at the weekend. I forgot how much I loved that game! Wire, glass shard, machete, crowbar... LOVE IT!
I'm using an original disc and original US 60GB PS3 though so I have no worries.
