Hey, I recently bought a HDMI to DVI cable for my PS3.. A my TV only supports DVI, anyway.. The picture is great! But i have one sniggle.. I know that DVI cannot produce a sound signal, so i thought about putting in my Scart cable and running the audio through AV output.. However it doesn't pick the sound up!
Why?!?!
After looking into an alternative i noticed next to my DVI output on the TV, theres an 'DVI Audio In' (Only 1 port though!).. I tried to put one of the audio leads from the AV into the socket (But it doesn't fit in snuggly, and when i let go it simply falls out) After nifty movements of turning the cable around in the DVI audio in, i began to hear the sound from the PS3, however i can't get the cable to stay in...
I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if they could over any solution to my problem.. Logically it should work running through the AV port anyway, should'nt it? (Else why put it as an option)
Cheers.
