but i dont see why they would want to discontinue it unless they are bringing out an upgraded version to rival the XBOX Elite

Well you can always see websites listings. You can tell when 4 places sell out but not till christmas probally.

Theyve ran out of 60GBs, they have all been shipped to retailers warhouses. Still plenty left though apparently. But no more being left with Sony.

And hopefully a 40 GB version to replace the original 20 GB version.

what do you mean to rival the 360 elite?.....microsoft introduced the elite to rival the high end ps3....we dont need to rival microsoft in terms of specs

PS3 80Gb and 40Gb sku's now, 60Gb and 20Gb sku's are no more, in the sense of production, you'll still find some in stores I assume...
