I really do have to say that this is one of the craziest products I have ever seen for sale to the public, it's like selling dynamite, but minus the explosives and splash damage.

The question on my mind is "is this practical?" Even now that it's been proven feasible, will the costs of implementing these for various applications outweigh the costs of alternatives?

it can melt glass it can melt thick plastic you have to keep holding it on the glass to melt it but it may take long im buying one soon
what is the heat out put is it stronger then holding a magnafying glass to the sun since that can burn lots of stuff like ants and other little bugs :) i wonder if that is about how hot probably not quite that hot though any numbers like 200* 1000* lol that would be sweet i would just get myself into trouble like burning down my house OOpps i would use it as a light for my smokes

I don't know what you're talking about... have you seen my first post? IT BURNS THROUGH METAL. I'd say it's more powerfull than the solarbeams going through a magnafying glass

ok i have not seen on there site actually burning through metal if so then it is basically a plasma cutter but in a laser form and that would be very dangerous as you could melt the tires of a car and that picture of the WL burned through what ever it is looks thin and a magnafying glass could do that.
That was a piece of metal....
You can see the shine on it, i think it was a sheet of aluminium

With one of these bad boys, you no longer have to reach all the way to the center of your controller to turn of your console, you simply shine this laser at the system for a few seconds, and the console turns off...permanently :wink:

Might try that on my Old N64 its gone bust :( gonna try and destroy with the highest priced laser more expensive the laser the more powerfull and i said above in my post:

All lasers are already illegal in the Netherlands, probably in a lot of other countries too...

I was watching a show about some kid mad at his dad for being a big star wars fan, the guy had all the action figures, and a real lightsaber believe it or not, not like the lightup plastic ones but it was like real I was amazed, although it didn't cut through things lol.

Wow, that looks kinda fake. Cause look at how thick that laser is. I thought it was supposed to be very thin like the normal red lasers.
Could have put it through a lens or something, ive done that before :D
Plus this laser was plugged into the mains, the result was a massive red circle on the wall.
I actually had to look away cause it was kinda too bright.. >_< (no eye damage though :D)
Theres videos on the website with someone who made a love heart shape and shines it on some houses and trees.
And another one shining it into those plasma globe things! wow that was cool
What's so exciting about a laser? It's just focused light of a single wavelength.

Im still wondering how that dude made the light saber one, how did he manage to get the light to slowly go up that tube, it confuses me
The only way i can think he did was with some gas inside the tube, like those neon lights, but they usually light up instantly... :?

Valve Software’s Doug Lombardi has said that there is a “50-50” chance of upcoming zombie title Left 4 Dead appearing on Sony’s PlayStation 3 console.
Speaking with CVG, Lombardi hinted that the company might evaluate opportunities on the platform following its high performance at retail over the past few months.
“We're always evaluating what's happening in the marketplace and certainly something that's happening in the last couple of months is that Sony's managed to sell some boxes," he said.
"So whether or not you like developing for that platform, if they've got millions of people connected to that platform and buying their games you have to take it seriously."
When asked on the possibility of Left 4 Dead coming to PS3, Lombardi replied: "50-50 right now.”
"There's zero chance of it happening this year. It's something that's being talked about right now as the game is gaining popularity and looking like it's going to be a hit."
