...is that news bar at the top.

Exhibit #1.

*reloading the page*

"Oo, interesting headline!"

*page reloads*

"Darn, the news bar reset to the start, where is that article"

"Now I gotta wait for it to take its time to cycle through!?"

"Screw it, just gonna click on News."

"FUCK! I CAN'T FIND IT! FUCK IS IT!!!"

"FUCK THIS SHIT"

*goes out on a killing spree*

I'd rather all of the news articles were static and on the side somewhere, where we can see them at all times. Or a button to go through them or pause them. Please, think of the children!

Petition to increase signature weight and size

Hi all, I'd like to propose a little suggestion:

I know the signature rules were chosen to help with 56k connections back in the day, but it's 2013 now. I'm not saying we should be allowed to jump from 35k to 35MB, but more would be appreciated. How about going from 35k to about 65-70k for regulars and the same kb jump for staff and admins? Bigger signatures would be appreciated as well. Monitor sizes have increased greatly in the past 4 years, and we could get maybe longer or taller signatures.

Please? It's very tough compromising signature quality just to make it fit. See example below :( This is coming from a member who remembers making signatures back in the 480x80 days...

Current limitations...As you can appreciate, there is a lot of noise and the size limits the entire thing...
Image: http://i.imgur.com/oNkgRiG.jpg

Current DS with more allowed image weight. I'm pretty fine with these limitations and should be fine for all members
Image: http://i.imgur.com/f6MuBAM.png

Dreaming?!
Image: http://i.imgur.com/B4gzOI3.png

Please, consider this? I had to swap back to the lamest quality and size signature so I could have it

Rules for avatars/signatures are still in effect

You might have noticed that there's no separate sticky for rules on signatures anymore. This is because it was recently added to the Forum Rules and Policies thread that you can find here (http://www.psu.com/forums/showthread.php/278335-Forum-Rules-and-Policies-Updated-5-8-13). PSU editors also share the same dimensions/file-size restrictions as subscribers.

Another reason I bring this up is because I don't like replacing the same user's signature more than once. If you see your signature has been edited to redirect to the aforementioned hyperlink, do not just ignore it by re-uploading the same (or similarly-sized) signature because I will respond with an infraction.

If you need help resizing your signature or would like one of our talented designers to create one for you, please post a request in the Design Corner here (http://www.psu.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/27-Design-Corner).

When a member breaks a rule on PSU and it is reported or made known, who enforces the rules or deals with the troublemaking? Is it only SMC and mods who enforce the rules and the admins take care of the site, make the rules, and make sure the SMC and mods are enforcing the rules?

I just want to know, if a member is being harassed and they go to an active admin and say, "Help, I'm being harassed!" Is it normal and protocol for an admin to ignore that member? Did the member go to the wrong user group and should have went to an smc or mod?

Threads are constantly being degraded lately by members accusing other members of being biased instead of just discussing the topic.

It does not matter if someone is biased. Everyone is biased and we all know which members are biased to which company. There's nothing wrong with only posting negative Microsoft news in the Microsoft forum and there's nothing wrong with only posting negative Sony news in the Sony forums.

Get over it and just discuss the topic. If you really feel that someone is trolling, then please just report the member and the staff will discuss it, which will not derail the thread.

Posts like...

'lol look who posted this'

or

'lol certain people only care about the negative rumors as usual'

or

'lol of course you would say that'

ETC...

If I see anything along these lines, you will receive a temp ban. The length of the ban will depend on your previous offenses.

PS4 and PS4 Games was merged. Why not PS3 Games and the other PS3 forum?

In the other PS3 forum, members ask questions and some the questions are never answered. If those two forums were merged, then the questions about hardware and software would get answers. I'm not understanding that if the two were merged, then activity would go down. It'd be more to talk about because the section wouldn't be just for games.

Thoughts?
