Barely. I'm mostly not dead. I've been way busy over 2008 writing and composing music, so I wasn't on much. But I at least peek in here every day now, so I'll be more visible. I should do more than one blog entry a year...

Yeah, too busy. Along with all the other chaos, I'm looking to have a pair of ultimate speakers built, and have settled on a design. Bought the MDF particle board and am looking to get my hands on a table saw. Not being a woodworker, a relative will do the construction, and am looking for a wood or cabinet shop to lay some fairly expensive veneer on the MDF, along with a hard to do but gorgeous piano gloss finish. I'm sure this is going to run $2000 or more, but as an audiophile who wants sound so real it's like the musicians are there in the room, it's worth it. In fact, these speakers have compared to name brand speakers which cost upward of $6000!

They normally cost less than a grand prior to the finish, but I'm really loading up on this thing with silver wire and crossovers which cost about $700 from the expensive capacitors, and some rich veneer on top of that. It has ribbon tweeters and dual titanium midranges so they sound clear and spacious, and dual woofers so it plays down to 30hz, where the deep synth and pipe organ notes begin to fade on most speakers. And getting concert level volume should be cake for these guys. For the curious, head over here to check them out, and reviews.

The Ratchet & Clank novels and music are eating up all my free time. A bunch of games snuck up on me. I haven't even turned on the PS3 for a month! So you know my head is elsewhere. But with the holidays coming, I'm gonna snarf a few games up and hit the big screen running.

Busy. I'm working on that pair of Ratchet & Clank novels, hoping to draw the attention of a game developer - hopefully Insomniac, my two music projects, and now playing engineer recording music performed by a friend and his son. I do like to hang out on the boards, but the creative stuff eats up time like crazy! I need a 30 hour day. Oh, and no day job. ;P
