EA aware of NFS: Pro Street PS3 glitches

Though the game has only been out for a short amount of time now, another EA game is begging for a patch in order to fix problems that make the game close to unplayable on the PS3. No, this time it is not the Orange Box, it is in fact, Need For Speed: Pro Street.

With the Orange Box, developer Valve had to take the initiative to try and find a fix for those issues, this time around EA is handling this one solo and is letting their consumers know that they are well aware of the problems the game is causing and hope to find a fix as soon as possible. EA is covering their tracks by letting gamers know that there will be an announcement as early as tommorrow regarding the issue.

"It frustrates us just as much that our great fans aren't able to have an enjoyable experience with ProStreet because of issues such as these," responded an EA moderator on the official forums. "Hold tight though, as I've already heard some stuff from the team on what the issue(s) (for PS3 at least) might be. Hopefully I'll have something to report by tomorrow morning."

Although the game had been patched to version 1.1, that update seems to be the culprit. Users have been experiencing game freezes and crashing when tuning cars or saving the game. This undoubtedly caused many a gamer to cry foul and even go as far as to question how the game possibly made it to gold status.

One forum member exclaimed, "I can't believe this game even made it to retail! Aside from the freezing, the frame-rate drops off at certain points, and there are even pop-ups!"

Stay tuned for the latest on the Need for Speed: Pro Street update and what EA's next move to resolve this matter will be.

EA just sucks at programming games for PS3, they need to just come clean and send their developers to take classes with other studios to learn a few thing.

EA seems to always be aware of just how *&^* and crap their games are , yet they seem to be completely incompetent to solve their lack of programming skills and maybe deliver something "decent" in the future. They just keep making total *&%^ "products" one after the other.Glad i havent wasted a single euro to their sorry asses since last gen.

this need for speed pro street. sucked and didn't have it for a while. lol. i traded it in for GTAIV instead when it comes out i have GTAIV and MGS4 fully prordered and waiting for me to pick up at that midnight release dates.  but, i would rather play carbon. it's alot better than just have a setting at the track. didn't have a problem with freezing. it just sucked at the gameplay and storyline

Ea does suck at developing games for ps3 there not to good at xbox 360 because I have both systems, I just got the ps3 and got call of duty 4 which runs perfect and is one of the best shooters I ever played and its done by a third party developer. So I can't see why Ea can't make a game worth anything, O yeah it's because there lazy.

The glitches are what forced me to return the game. I don't think I'll be purchasing any EA games for the rest of this gen unless they do a 180 on the quality aspect.

This just proves my theory that EA refuses to playtest games and ships em as fast as possible.  They would know about all these problems if they had tried the final product first.

EA dropped the ball on the NFS series. Most Wanted and Carbon were pretty good but prostreet? Who freaking get their jolley's off og fixing their car everytime they dent and/crash in the tracks?
