Loved this team for as long as i can remember any other fans out there lets discuss the Lyon game.Can we win it all i think so what do you think?
I think the FA Cup and champions league are probably coming to old trafford, but the league is out of reach.

Aye i think it will be a struggle to retain the league all i an say is come on Birmingham 2morrow against the arsenal i think we should hopefully out gun Newcastle with are strongest team available.
Are prospects in the champions league are quite good permitting we overcome Lyon i believe we can beat any other team left in the completion with ronaldo getting over his slump in form to propel us hopefully to glory.
Anybody know how much ronaldo is worth?

Man United were the first and only team I have supported, along with small local teams and obviously the English national team, and Wales. But I have supported them for years now, and I think that they are improving each year, and that this year, they could definitely win big! The Premier League is within 3 points of their grasp, but considering Arsenal still have to travel to Old Trafford, and we nearly beat them at the Emirates, then we will go top if things stay the same and we beat Arsenal. As for Champions League, as things stand, we are going through to the next round, and although we aren't particularly good at defending leads, I think the prospect of United losing at home to a team from another country is unthinkable. The FA Cup will be ours this year, as we deserve it the most out of any team; we have had 11 consectative games against Premier League opposition. Basically, we will win a lot of silverware this season, just have faith!
Amazing game for united yesterday. Am sure we can catch arsenal quite easilly. They seem to slip up quite easilly although united often do the same. The next arsenal v man united game could be a decider!
Very good game but Newcastle were very poor especially at the back next up fulham away should be a good game

I can't believe this thread has been dormant for 4 days! Gentlemen, where are the Man Utd fans at?
I've been supporting them since I was 6 (18 years and counting) even though I have never had the opportunity to watch a proper live game in Old Trafford. Before I am accused of being another of those international fans that only support United because of say, David Beckham or Cristiano Ronaldo, I am well versed in club history and shed a few tears upon hearing about the death of Georgie Best.
Club affiliations and history lessons aside, I feel that Utd are well placed in the League, FA Cup and ECL., but I only think the Double is a realistic achievement. The champions league is one hell of a mountain to climb, and United have been found wanting for the past 8 years, with last year's run to the Semis the closest we have come to winning it since, as Clive Tyldesley would put it, 'that night in Barcelona'.
And I feel that they will have to attempt this year's treble with Giggsy and Scholesy restricted to bit-parts. I'm sorry, but they are starting to show their age, and we have seen it in games when Scholes and Carrick play together, Carrick just retreats into a shell and just gives the ball to Scholesy, who then proceeds to slow everythign down to a crawl, allowing the opposition to regroup. He looks a different player next to either Hargreaves or Fletcher, or Anderson for that matter. Giggsy on the other hand, has proven wasteful in possession 80% of the time, with the last 20% resulting in either straightforward passes or the odd bit of class. His best game in a year? 7-1 against Roma, and that's it.
Mind you, that result was achieved with Scholes out of the side and Carrick in his place.
Giggs next manager? Or maybe a Scholes/Giggs partnership. I think it'd be great for the sqaud when sir Alex retires.

No, Ronaldo has too much skill to play upfront, If he played upfront, United would have very few players to supply crosses/long balls.
Not as an out and out striker mind you, but as a withdrawn striker, not up top on his own. It has become an interesting facet of United's play nowadays, to see that most of the crosses tend to come from the fullbacks, and that when they come forward, the wingers end up reverting to the roles of old-fashioned inside-lefts or inside-rights.
Well, it's Fulham today, gents. Any problems? I hope not. Carrick/Fletcher in midfield seems to be a combination that's getting better and better.
3-0 Utd! Annd not a single meaningful contribution from either Messrs Rooney or Ronaldo. I feel rather chuffed. Flipped the channel as the game ended to see the Arse snatch a late equaliser, what bo****cks that was.
