I have got a question. Why after all this updates and added features the forum still looks old and outdated? We really need something reinnovating cause the forum is slowly dying and i dont understand why nobody is adding features nor fixing bugs or other issues. Is there even somebody working on the forum constantly or all those programmers come periodically to add something and then disappear?
Why fix whats not broken... the updates are for improving and the flow of the forum.. you know as well as i that when you update a game, its still the same game. Its the data that is updated and not the look of the forum
One can understand the annoyance of the same old outdated appearance. But it could or might change for a better appearance
Stop complaining and post! Lmao....We recently got rep back so that's kewl! Lol
i know this was directed at Cybertox, but i figured i'd like to chime in for a little while. truthfully, i have never liked the forums new "dark" UI, but its something that i'll stomach.
what does get me is a staffer posted how the main site is given priority, yet it is still a broken, ugly mess.
im not sure if this is the place to voice a concern. but what happened to the main site?
observe the top of the "old" site:
if you go to any of the other gaming websites their layout is similar to this. our current home page is (no sugar coating) rubbish! why are all the sections of the website hidden behind drop down menu's?
PSU (imo) was never the same after we changed from that older layout.
I have just created a new thread in the call of duty section ( it was quite long ) but upon posting a message said it would have to be approved before being posted. Is this a new thing or normal procedure as it hasn't happened before ??
Forgive me if this has been covered recently, but I'm new. What is the meaning of the 'points - hand' listed below our avatar?
Thanks in advance!
You accumulate points with every post and the 'Points - Hand' of your postbit keeps track of it all. You can use the points to purchase icons, which also show up under your postbit, at the vBShop.
You also earn points by giving +rep (that star under each post, next to the "caution triangle"... you can also earn points by rating threads, that's located upper right hand of the page... Keep contributing in different ways, and you'll learn more and more about how you can earn more points. ;)
You earn 2-3 points for every 'like' received too.
Is there any way to see what threads you recently unsubscribed to? I accidentally did it with a thread while using my tablet and can't figure out what it was.
If you posted in the thread recently, or not too far back, just go to your profile and on the left you'll see the "Find latest posts" and the "Find latest started threads". If you can remember who created the thread, you can do the same on their Profile page. If you can find it like that you'll be good. Otherwise, you won't be able to find it.
Why does this forum has so many issues?
Every time the point/bank system changes, I lose all my points. Yet it seems like others aren't affected. How come?
There are a few things that go on.
If they continue with the same system, and update it, usually the bank points are reset; and at times, everyone loses their points. There is normally a way to fix that completely by an admin using the recount feature. It'll recount by the rules all the previous posts, threads, likes, etc., basically everything that is considered to earn points is recounted by the system.
If they use a completely new system, that almost guaranteed that everyone loses all the points. It also has a count system though, so there shouldn't be too much an issue with it. I've yet to see a system used that doesn't have a recount feature. If this one doesn't, I'd love to know what plug-in they're using so I can get to the bottom of it. ;)
