The only game in existence worth playing is Hello Kitty Island Adventures.

final fantasy X, God of War 1 + 2, as mentioned, and any of the Devil May Cry series

Final Fantasy X & XII, Devil May Cry games, Resi Code Veronica & 4, God of War 1 & 2, Metal Gear games, Silent Hill 2 & 3. There are loads of awesome PS2 games out there for dirt cheap.

Test Drive you should give a go, its a great racing game, easy to get used to.

Black, God of War, Tekken 5, Need for Speed Most Wanted.

Jak & Daxter and/or Ratchet & Clank. Both excellent platformers by their own right.

And I hesitate to recommend Persona 3 or 4 since you don't seem to be an RPG gamer, but they are two of the best games I've played in a long time.

thanks guys.............yeh im not really an rpg gamer, never really got into the whole final fantasy/kingdom hearts type games. i would like to get okami tho.........the graphics style is so beautiful!

You can't go wrong with the metal gear and resident evil series.

As far as ps2 games go thats hard to say...one of my favorite ps2 games ever was James Bond 007 Nightfire
