I know the majority of phones would die after a dip in the pool but damn... Far too easy to make a $1k brick.
My firend at work showed me his i5 I was shocked to see no screen or rear protection on the thing and our phones go through a beating in the Deli.
Awesome buy man! I was going to get this after playing HeartGold and reliving my pokemon days. But I have to pick up the first ones, black and white. I keep hearing nonsense about how the new generation of pokemon are worst and bad but I reckon if you grew up with pokemon then you should give this new gen a go!
I'm 23 and I grew up playing pokemon, starting from Yellow. I picked up a 3DS for that sole purpose of playing pokemon again and also expanding my gaming range. :p
Nice dark I didn't see you got a copy and one for ur gf I need to get my gf to play pokemon so I can buy both lol

A long, overdue purchase. This blu-ray came out in 2007. It's October. Feels appropriate to buy this...and there's one scene
Awesome movie Dre, but I own almost every Kubrick film on DVD, even Lolita.
Should I rebuy? Or is upscale decent enough?
Right now I am making a Disney Blu-Ray collection. The picture quality on these are phenomenal.

This FINALLY came in the mail, sadly my steelbook got backordered.. I never seem to have luck with Capcom games, I never get the preorder bonuses for 'em. Will probably wait till I can co-op through it with my friend before I play it.
Theres 3 cinderella films, 3 for alladin, 3 for the lion king, 2 for lady and the tramp, 101 dalmatians...
Im sticking mostly to the 1st films as they carry the most magic. I don't feel the need for the additions unless its Toy Story or something exceptional.
Yea they also made a lion king 2....smh lol
MKICE,
According to blu-ray.com the movie has 5/5 rating on the picture transfer HD scale. That's very good considering it's an old movie..even 2001 has the same rating. I would not hesitate to upgrade. But for the most part, I would upgrade any favorite movie to blu-ray. That's what I did with some of my favorite DVD's when blu-ray won the format war. I had the original Star Wars trilogy on DVD, the silver widescreen that came out in 2004 and when the announced that they were planning to do this massive blu-ray release, I had to buy it.
Damn thats a blu ray collection bro LOL nice!
How do they upscale and improve video quality of old movies and make them into full hd?
...they use the original negatives of the film... and remaster it digitally. The Sounds of Music, for instance, they scanned each frame at like 5x Blu-ray resolution and removed every little bit of grain and artifact while keeping the original intact, then bringing it down to Blu-ray resolution. The movie looks absolutely insane. Even if you don't like the film, it's worth watching for the level of restoration done to the film. You can see every blade of grass on the hills, for instance.
Thats nice, i dont have a blu ray player but i saw some full hd clips on my monitor and they looked great. Im not a fan of watching movies more than once so i dont buy that much movies.
Interesting I always wondered that myself!
here we go the guide, black+white 2 and the preorder caseshttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/10/13/bepa4uda.jpg
swag master chille strikes again
the equivalent resolution of film is more than that of your typical display, and that any digital camera is capable of.
there is no upscaling of film, and there is no such thing as scanning a film negative to 5x blu ray resolution.
if the quality of film used, and the condition of the film itself are still excellent, theres no reason for an old movie to not look as good as a new movie. (apart from filters, special effects etc) while older movies dont seem to have as much depth as a newer movie, the quality of older movies can look pretty much the same as movies of today.
^ Yes there is.
The Wizard Of Oz in the special features talks about how they scanned the original film in at 8k or 4k resolution.
the equivalent resolution of the original film is more than 8k. you will not have a film upscaled to suit digital media, as there is no digital medium of producing a greater image quality than that of film. just because they scanned it in at 8k or whatever, doesn't mean it was of a lesser resolution to begin with. what have we learned about upscaling to hd this generation? that it looks no where near as good as the source material.
