I'd buy it outright, full price, and let them know that my contract is over, and won't be renewed. That's where I am at now.

Just bought me a 32Gb Nexus 7. Currently charging but had a little play. First impressions, awesome little thing, perfect size for carting about with me.
Believe 4.2 releases on Tuesday. Bonus. Ordering the Nexus 4 the same day, too.

I know I know, I get ya. I can certainly understand that - and in fact, it really isn't cool when companies do it.
I've just resided myself to that fact that everyone does it. SO I either buy at launch being content with that fact, or wait a few months. :)
It will piss off the bargain hunter/value seeker in all of us though.
I get the feeling they're still trying to find their feet on tech. Either that, or since they're clearly building on a price sensitive scale; it just didn't allow bigger at that time for their budget.
Given how good the tablet and operating system combination is, I don't particularly think it would be difficult for them to give better launch options and ask for a little more money. So far, the Nexus 7 has exceeded my expectations. It doesn't have quite the same level of polish as the iPad but it's no slouch - if I didn't have the iPad, I'd still be extremely happy with the N7 as my only tablet.
To all you fellow Android owners:
Yesterday a work college dropped her iPhone and ruined a 3rd of her screen xD
I on the other hand have dropped my SONY Experia U 3 times with no problems.
Flashed my sgs2 to jellybean leaked firmware yesterday 4.1.2...flashed via mobile odin. Very stable, and incredibly smooth. Seriously, it's like having a new phone. Its that much better than ics.

I experience a lot of lag on my Samsung Galaxy S3. Clearing cache and RAM doesnt help much. Looks like android os is badly optimized and has poor performance. Apple devices i own have worst specifications but run faster on the ios. Kinda disappoints me as os performance for me is very important.
Probably find that the usual bloatware is running on your s3 if you check whats running. Few of my mates have s3's and none of them experience lag. Root that mofo and get rid...

Its swisscom if i understand you correctly.
Well, you definitely have bloatware on that bad boy. I'll try and get some info on whether it can be disabled or removed, etc.
