Assassin's Creed III Confirmed, Scheduled For October 30th Release
Quote:
Giant Bomb reports that Assassin's Creed III was confirmed on the latest Ubisoft investor call, and it's scheduled for release on October 30th, 2012. There have been rumors for months that the next AC game will take place in modern New York (Revelations end-game cinematic), and involve the American Civil War, or even China (Assassin's Creed Embers), but at the moment Ubisoft is remaining pretty tight lipped. What we know for sure is Desmond will still be around, but there's no word yet on if Shao Jun from Embers will replace Ezio or if there will even be a replacement at all.
It appears as if Ubisoft's top dog Yves Guillemot is quite pumped about ACIII, as he
reportedly declared during the call that it's going to be the true next generation of the AC brand and interactive entertainment / storytelling in general, and that the company plans on it being the biggest launch in Ubisoft history.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm pumped. I'm going to miss Ezio for sure, but I've really got to know what the whole first civilization conspiracy is all about, and what Desmond's role is in everything.
