The thread was moved to the Admin section or so I was told. You will be able to see everything contained within that thread.
I'll even create the thread myself!
Just.....i learnt a lot from you man, you helped me a lot when i was a new on staff, i get where your coming from, but there are better ways to get shit across
Explain how there are better ways? In PM's away from all eyes? I brought up my point, and many others in a mature manner within that thread. Just when things get real it is closed off and discarded...
In a mature matter is the easiest way to get others to follow suite.
Justin, your complaints seem to be very vague and based on skepticism. Lay out all your problems in detail, preferably in its own thread.
Does it even matter how its called? I dont give a damn as far as they wont be called Dolphins.
ill create the thread, that way no one can be afraid to say what they want
Take it to here, this thread was only to inform you all of the SMC name change
The name has been changed to 'Selected Members Council', due to feedback that the name included improper grammar.
Just to chime in, as an English native speaker and teacher, I can say that 'select members' is grammatically sound. Maybe some were confused by the fact it is both an adjective and a verb. :D
The members were selected (verb), so they were select (adjective) members.
Sorry, I was reading through and forgot it was closed. I'm not used to seeing a dialog box on closed threads haha. Well, not that it is very important at the end of the day, but 'select' gets Ghost's Grammatical Seal of Approval...so does 'selected'. :D
I PM'd Ixion concerning my post. I stated that I could be wrong, it's just that from what I know you generally use 'select' like that for items, not people. I wasn't concerned with seeing it changed anyways.
The ironic thing now, however, is that because of the community nomination phase now introduced, the definition for 'select' may be applied less strongly here. =P
For the record, I like Select better.
Didn't realize this was opened back up. And I mentioned it in the other thread, but this thread is better suited for it. In honor of the Wii U launch, I move we rename it the Super Mario Council :snicker
But yeah, who cares? It's just a name
By all means, if you guys can come up with something better, go ahead and brainstorm. We just wanted to change the name to something more representative as soon as possible.
Well since we are going with community involvement I say we have a few nominations followed by a poll. Thoughts?
