The name has been changed to 'Selected Members Council', due to feedback that the name included improper grammar.
Just to chime in, as an English native speaker and teacher, I can say that 'select members' is grammatically sound. Maybe some were confused by the fact it is both an adjective and a verb. :D
The members were selected (verb), so they were select (adjective) members.
From what I understand, it is grammatically correct, but not necessarily proper.Quote:

Sorry, I was reading through and forgot it was closed. I'm not used to seeing a dialog box on closed threads haha. Well, not that it is very important at the end of the day, but 'select' gets Ghost's Grammatical Seal of Approval...so does 'selected'. :D
I PM'd Ixion concerning my post. I stated that I could be wrong, it's just that from what I know you generally use 'select' like that for items, not people. I wasn't concerned with seeing it changed anyways.
The ironic thing now, however, is that because of the community nomination phase now introduced, the definition for 'select' may be applied less strongly here. =P
For the record, I like Select better.
