This might just be the push that gets me to being a PS+ member.
Just need to read up on what's 100% confirmed for EU.
Obligatory TapaTalk signature.
Not as good as the US though
Uncharted and Gravity Rush probably justify the asking price, to be fair.

So other than +, 2.00 adds nothing?
Game saves will get 1GB of cloud storage (ps+)
check email via yahoo and gmail (ps+)
auto updates (ps+)
wireless transfer of content to the PC
PSOne game setting tweaks
web browser update
will be able to play 1080p videos (they won't actually render at 1080p, just be able to play them.)
That's all I can remember. If it's more, I'll update the thread.
The email app has 5 slots, 2 taken for google and yahoo, but i think you can do any other mail domains manually.
- Email app
- Web browser update
- Extra 1 GB of cloud storage
- Automatic updates
- Automatic? Trophy syncs
- Content manager improved. Able to transfer content wirelessly from/to PC
- Able to play back 1080p videos on vita
- Video supports CC now.
Yeah because HTML5 loads videos faster for some reason and is 100% backed by Apple which gives it a boost in popularity.
Well actually HTML5 is set by the W3C so it's all native stuff. :D
Can't wait for the other updates too though still debating on getting PS+ or not, it's just that I won't own the games if the sub ends, hmm.
PS+ and being able to check email via vita has me interested.
It just needs a $50 price drop, or a bundle that includes a 16 GB Mem card and I think I'd be too tempted to pass that up. o.o
Awesome, but when the hell are they gonna release the Reader app for vita that they said they will release last month?! I'm still waiting Sony!
As long as there's Gravity Rush and Uncharted its ok ^^
oh god dammit the only 2 vita games i bought so far uncharted and gravity rush... blehhhhhhhh
also... is the extra 1gb cloud storage additional to the PS3's (what is it now 500mb or 1gb?)
Both systems will have the 1GB cloud storage, each.
1GB for Vita
1GB for PS3
Neither cut into the others allotment.
What exactly is the cloud storage for? All of the game saves are on the game cards so I'm not sure what purpose it serves....

Sony's 2.0 firmware update for the Vita launches tomorrow (Wednesday in Europe), and with it comes a little discussed change Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida describes as "big": drastically improved web browsing.
Specifically, the browser will become a "small app", so you'll be able to use it while you play games, with no quitting required. The browsing itself will be faster, too.
Lastly, PlayStation Plus will launch alongside the update, which means "free" games for you, among other features.
Sony has confirmed that PlayStation Vita’s upcoming firmware 2.00 update will improve the handheld’s web browser functions.
Writing on Twitter, Shuhei Yoshida, head of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS), revealed that the update will allow gamers to switch to the browser without quitting their current game among other improvements.
“One welcome change in tomorrow's PS Vita FW2.0 will be the web browser becomes a 'small app', you won't have to quit games to use it," said Yoshida-san.
"That's little talked about but is a big change, and the browsing itself is faster than the current one :)"
When does plus hit the Vita? This week? or next?
