the ending was cheesy and i
and that avenged sevenfold music video at the end.... what were they thinking
I also thought that the Avenged Sevenfold video was just stupid and insulting... I effin love metal/rock, but I don't like Avenged Sevenfold. It was ridiculous to see Woods play the drums, but just for a few seconds. Besides that, it was stupid and unnessecary. I'd rather have it removed from the game but who am I to bitch around about such a small detail.
All in all, the SP campaign of COD Black Ops 2 was nice, but Black Ops 1... I somehow liked it more because the mind-control thing was the central theme of the game. I thought they'd expand and build on this theme, but no... There is some mind control going on (Mason, hello! funny that the Black Ops series' protagonists' name is Mason - Alex and David Mason) with David as well but it wasn't as good as in Black Ops 1. But to be honest, the bad guy and the conflict involving him was well done, and I liked the cutscenes and cinematic moments with Menendez. They were well done. Menendez was always focused, even when he was freaking out and screaming or wounding/killing people and with his subtle smile, he was both sympathic/likeable and creepy at the same time.
Menendez isn't really a "bad" guy, you know. He's a tortured soul. He just snapped and totally lost it. He's crazy, that's all. It surprised me that they made him like this, because the rest of the game is full of generic propaganda.
Overall, I'd say Black Ops 2 is one of the best CODs. COD4, Black Ops and Black Ops 2 had the best SP campaigns. I loved the club level... that was nice. Everybody likes it because it's so well presented. In COD4, the Chernobyl sniper mission was the most memorable, and in Black Ops 1, it was... well not the levels, but the theme of mind-control and that interrogation room where Mason was held, drugged and well... interrogated (/tortured).
I like the campaign but i like modern warfare campaign a lot better
I told myself I would not buy any more cod games, but the positive reviews of the SP changed my mind. WHAT A MISTAKE. I got about 2 hours into it and shut it off. The graphics are awful. Controls like all COD games are shit. The player has no weight to him at all. It plays like your arms are gun weigh less than a feather. I am baffled on how this game is so damn popular, when games like KZ3 and Starhawk are overlooked so much. Granted starhawk is not a fps, but it's still a great game that sold like shit. All these companies are doing is creating new maps and using a really dated engine. Same shit year after year and people still buy it like it's prints money from your console. You can play every single cod game since cod4 side by side and they all look and play the same. It would be like Rovio releasing Angry birds again with different different color grass and sky and selling like crazy. It makes no sense to me. The good news is because I bought the game at kmart, they gave me $15 to use towards another game (Hitman Absolution). I am selling this POS on Craigslist for $45. No more COD for me until they use a new engine.
I just completed campaign mode on veteran, i think its easyer then the other COD games, im playing zombie now i wanna get the single player trophys first then get the online trophys so its all good, Black Ops 2 platinum trophy your going to join my MW3 platinum trophy.
I doubt I'll even give it a try. :p

Haven't finished but those strike missions are terrible. I'm enjoying the campaign so far.
I have yet to play it. Just jumbed into MP/Zombies.
it has single-player mode?
I picked up black ops 2 today my ten year old nephew came over and he asked did u get it yet i said no.
so he said lets go to the store and buy it so we did. the campain is really good it puts u in the action fast.
so far iam likeing the campain. online is awesome
I'm only a few missions in, but the campaign is pretty great so far. Definitely an underrated portion of Call of Duty titles.
I really enjoyed the campaign missions, but hated that the strike force missions helped the campaign go better, but those fucking sucked. I hated em. Only did one of them. My second play through, I did every strike force mission.
I did like how the ending can be done differently. I played through twice to get the golden ending.
It was decent. Obviously, could have been a lot better, but it's decent to say the least.
Nothing beats the ability to sit in a hot tub with a friend, while in game. :snicker
All i got to say, AMAZING!
I've played through 3 missions so far and I'm liking it pretty fun.
Just completed it today and rewound the missions to make afew alternate decisions. I was really impressed, thoroughly enjoyed it and rather than just the ending being different from decisions made, it has an effect throughout the rest of the game which adds abit more variety.
With the strike force missions, I struggled to complete them using the top down view ordering teams here and there so ended up just controller a soldier and clearing the objectives myself with the occasional use of holding L2 if I needed some back up with a squad. I found this way much easier to complete them.
Was gutted Reznov wasn't in it other than a token gesture appearance, he was my fave character from the first Black Ops and would have liked him to have been involved abit more, especially with how often they referred to the whole soviet brain wash of Maison etc.
Overall though I was chuffed with it, would have liked a bit more stealth when infiltrating afew locations and would have liked to have used the cloak device that some enemies had.
Could sit through another playthrough quite easily as I always pick up on something I may have missed during the first or second sitting :D
Almost done I gotta say this campaign was amazing love every moment of it!
I completed the SP twice and did things differently each time, got the two different endings although there are some things you can do which also result in either having some of the characters around...
I intend to complete the original Black Ops on Veteran, something I did not do the first time plus I have fragmented memory regarding the first Sp story.
Playinh through it now. On 'escort noriega to army checkpoint mission' atm. Enjoyin it so far..tho playin it battered means i've lost my way in the missions. Still..fuck it lol.
