NES, closely followed by snes.
First console I played on was an Atari (cousin's - my parents refused to buy one for us)
First video games at home were some weird Donkey Kong type game on my parents NEC computer.
First console I bought was a Sega Genesis (in college, also first time I had cable!)
2nd console I bought was PS3 for Xmas in 2011. (just a small gap between consoles...)
First console I had was technically the Atari 2600 but the first console I devoted serious time to was Sega Genesis. My brother and I had Sega Genesis shortly after release while my cousins had NES and SNES so we would play each others consoles all the time. Some of the first Genesis games we had were Altered Beast, Sonic the Hedghog, Castle of Illusion, Joe Montana Football, Road Rash, and Starflight. Later games like NHL '94, Aladdin, NBA Jam, Toe Jam and Earl, WWF Raw, X-Men, X-Men 2, Star Trek TNG, TJ&E Panic on Funkotron, Beavis and Butthead, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, and many others.
Although my real love for gaming didn't really sink in until I hit the N64/Playstation era. This was amplified even more during the PS2 era and so on.
The NES! I think Duck Hunt was the first game I played
Oooh no Duck Hunt, but they are releasing a console with 30 games...I like!
Does the Commadore Amiga count as a games console? Because it it does that was my first! If not then it was the original Playstation
Magnavox Pong in 1974. I was 6.
Sega genesis, bought by my father and then years later he got me a PS. After that, in 2001 I got myself, with my money, my PS2. I've been Ps ever since the one!!!!
My dear old Dad bought a ZX Sinclair Spectrum for me (and himself). So very long ago. It wasn't the one that made me love games (Megadrive), but it planted the seed.
Atari, I think ... but I didn't really start gaming until the Nintendo. I remember my brother saved up like a year's allowance to buy the thing. Good times. My first games were Zelda, Metroid, Duck Hunt, and Mario.
Was a Super Nintendo, the best gift ever my father did to me :) I was 11 years old about and the pack was with Super Mario World. Great moments back them, the first love who stays forever.
Atari 2600. Pong
