I strongly disagree. Almost everyone that gets a Wii U will NOT attach an external hard drive. The core gamers such as folks on this forum that upgraded their PS3 hard drive will be the same people adding a HDD to the Wii U. 99% of people don't add these things onto their consoles. Your opinion of console owners seems skewed by gamer forums.
I won't be adding anything to the wii U ill just buy retail I like having the boxes.
Hope 32gb is enough for the life span of the console
I may eventually buy one once I find a small one for real cheap. But my basic model is good enough for now.

Wii U holiday hardware and software sales at GameStop “below expectations” – analyst
Sterne Agee analyst Arvind Bhatia has said in his latest investor note that sales of Wii U hardware and software at GameStop were below expectations over the holiday period.

According to Bhatia, the console and its subsequent software remained “abundant,” in quantity despite suggestions from various sectors citing a possible shortage.
Bhatia also noted the $350 Wii U Deluxe model is moving off GameStop shelves faster than the basic $300 model, due to being a “better value.”
“Our conclusion is the Nintendo Wii U launch has been slightly disappointing,” he said.
The analyst also claimed the attach rate for Wii U software at GameStop was “low,” without revealing any actual figures.

Wii U's weak sales hurt Nintendo earnings
Nintendo is doomed!!!!! Rabble rabble rabble lol
Once they get a few games and drop the price a small amount, they will sell a lot more systems in my opinion.
I guess Nintendo is showing the Vita with the Wii U how "not selling" is done

Yea it sucks I went to gamestop and just stood in front the wii U game section and just try to talk to myself into buying a wii U game...they really need content
Problem is, they don't have any new multiplat games. That means all they have are a bunch of games I already played, couple of Nintendo's games that are really just a rehash of an older game (that they're driving into the ground in the same way that CoD is being driven into the ground), and Zombie U. Personally, I have no desire to play a roguelike so there's just nothing on the Wii U for me right now. That's probably the case with most people as well. Then the upcoming games aren't interesting to me either. Monster Hunter, Pikmin 3, etc. If Pandora's Tower is Wii U then maybe that but I"m sure they won't upres it's assets so no doubt it will be a regular Wii game so why exactly do I want a Wii U? I'm hardly a casual gamer so if I can barely find a reason to want it, it's no wonder they can't get other people to be interested.
To be blunt, I won't buy the Wii U until it's come down $100 and then only if there's stuff on it that I want. A $50 price cut isn't going to be enough for me. I bet they have a $100 price cut before year's end.

Found this on another forum. Thought it was hilarious!
Once MS and Sony unveil their consoles, providing they're awesome\not gimmicky trash and priced reasonably, The WiiU is in for rough waters imo. I'm with Mynd on this.
It was just a bad idea. I don't know wtf they were thinking with this 'cheap tablet' as a gamepad concept.
