have had the original ps3 and changed to the slim when that came out but have recently been having trouble with it so was wondering wether it would be worth upgrading to the super slim or just stick with it and upgrade the hard drive??

I was wondering, as I just got 500GB version PS3, what's the point of this huge HDD? It's not like you can copy games in there or anything...

Not really. It's smaller but the loading drawer isn't as robust as previous consoles. I get the impression I could break the super slim accidentally by just putting a game in. I'd go for a normal slim.Quote:

My Slim doesn't get hot I've ran it for 7 to 12 hours str8 with no problems with it at all. I would imagine the super slim would be more energy efficient.

I have a regular slim, 320 gb HDD. i think i mightve used up about 30 gigs of HDD space so far. I dont download games unless i have to, i prefer my physical copies so ill probably never fill up the space on it. Even my computer has a 1TB HDD and ive only managed to fill up about 150 gigs
Upgrade to the super slim only if the issues with your current slim will get worst.
