Anyone thinking of getting this?
I did quite enjoy the first one, but it was six hours of fun and then forgotten about. I wish it would go back to it's roots.

Maybe. I've only played through Chaos Theory.
I've only seen the E3 demo of this, but I know people who want this so bad. I'll have to look more into the game. The only Splinter Cell game I've played was Conviction and I liked that (Especially the co-op campaign).
I was never big in to Splinter Cell.
I used to be big on Splinter Cell, but haven't been for the last few games. Probably will pass on this.
The series were really good on PS2 and after what Ubisoft did by not releasing Splinter Cell Conviction on PS3. I very barely support this company and it got worse when they released the Splinter Cell HD collection and the entire game was glitched and no Trophies appeared. So, I don't trust this company any more and maybe I will get this game when it will be 19.99 or 9.99.
Double Agent is the only SC game I thought was so-so out of the 5 I've played, I loved the rest of them. So yeah, I'm definitely in.
I think I'll most likely pass. Conviction was different and interesting but CT was better. This game looks different and not very Splinter Cellish, not for my taste.
As a SC fan that survived the ps3 version of Double Agent, I'm def getting it.
Chaos Theory was my first, Conviction was my second. I enjoyed both. Not sure if I'll get this one, at least at release
DA wasn't so hot but I think Conviction was underrated. There was a lot of action elements added but I found myself using stealth a lot more than a lot of people said was possible. The opportunities were there in a lot of cases, you just had to play it that way. Just because you CAN go in marking enemies and guns blazing didn't mean you HAD to. Some situations forced a gunfiight out of you and was unavoidable, granted. But the game had loads of stealth opportunities as well.
