I've been pondering if I should upgrade my gpu from a 6870 to a 7950 for crysis later this month, or wait for the 8000 series.
anyone else stuck with the idea of upgrading
I guess I'll see how my 6870 handles the beta tomorrow

I gt a 6870 too. Report back what its like int he beta.
How did you get into the beta?
I think this will be the year that my two 5870's get retired. Depending when I have the money I wouldn't mind getting a 690
BBK. Tapatalking.
open beta starts tm! (29th) :D

Im running a gtx 670 looking forward to what it can do!
I hope the game will play well
Can't wait for CRYSIS 3 ,actually picked up CRYSIS 2 a few days ago and been playing it maxed out DX11/HI RES on my Superclocked GTX 570 getting 60+ fps /35+ heavy battle fights so hopefully I can play CRYSIS 3 on some decent settings
The BETA is on ORIGIN
Downloadingit now...hopefully it'll run smoothly.
man it seriously crushes my GPU Maxed out was only getting 20+ FPS even taking the Blur off & lowering the AA & Anti to 4x only got me a few more FPS & that was even after I overclocked my card .
Turn all the AA off. AA is very intensive.
What I find stupid is that we have to input our Origin user and pass even though it is launched from Origin.
Ok, here is the deal...you send me your HD 6870 and I will send you my GeForce 9600GT, cool?
Turning the AA off to 2x has gotten me to 30+fps
Anyone using the NVIDIA Gaming Experience program it's good as it Optimizes your games tells you when new drivers are out like the 316.96 BETA driver has just been released.
I'll play it to test the limits of my computer I bought last year, but I'm not a fan of the Crysis games... they are pretty boring imo
About to try it out right now. Hope it runs decently.
it actually runs a lot better than i expected, 30fps vsynced outside battles, 60fps inside
ran everything on high with the lower fxaa enabled at 1920 x 1080
i5-2400
8GB

Like one of the other guys here mentioned, I too get 30 outside minimum and 60 max. Also, there are new beta drivers out for those of you using nvidia cards.
even with multi running surprisingly smooth, I'm still not hopeful my 6870 can handle the campaign.
turned up some settings to very high with a pretty smooth 60 frames at 1440 x 900
