Good. They are maneuvering well to take the initial hit the PS4 will bring and then some. Sony has long been in a position of needing to make these moves. There will come a day when they can grow again, but the global market just creates too much exposure for large firms to operate in the manner that Sony has.
Definitely looks like Sony is trying to narrow it's focus with the playstation brand again...which is a good thing. The ps3/psp era was a poor attempt to try and get their hands in everyone's cookie jars without knowing what kind of cookies were in the jars. Maybe the ps4/vita era will put them back on track and display their faith in their brand again.
Then again it's possible this gen was their learning experience and now they are applying everything they've learned into their own practices.
It's good to be back to focusing on things they do best.
