Just waiting for the 720p version to be up on my download place of choice. Shouldn't be long now the 480p version s there as I type this.
Im so glad i quit after season 4 ended so it ended as a good show for me.
So its over and to be honest this last season was disappointing and not worth my time.
What a shit way to end one of the bext shows on TV, what a pile of shit, im so disappointed. After the Trinity season the show went downhill fast
so many plot holes and things that make no sense
I don't know how to feel. I'm satisfied but I also feel I was meant to be confused and apathetic towards the ending... A show like Dexter honestly couldn't have ended much differently. I think its very good Character progression for Dex
This season, it feels like they got to the last 3 episodes and went "Oh shit we need to wrap this up soon" and it seemed like a poorly thrown together mess. I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about the ending, but in the back of my head I guess I was never really expecting a happy ending. But I loved the kill and the scene with Quinn and Batista afterward.
Another downside of Season 8 was that it didn't feel like the final season of Dexter. I still love the series overall.
I don't understand why people want to compare Dexter with Breaking Bad. I know a lot of people like Breaking Bad; I've heard that it gets better with each season and it's unpredictable but every show doesn't have to be the same.
- If they wanted to do this ending at the very list they should have shown Dexter had a person on his table, or he had a whole lot of new blood slides, thus confirming he was still not under control of his urges and then it would make some sense he didn't go with Hannah and Harrison.
- If he was going to live anyway why not have him go to Argentina and get away with everything he did.
- But my favorite alternate ending, from my own imagination :D:
Everyone finds out about Dexter, so the only thing for him to do is at least clear Debra's name so she can also look after Harrison; in the process he clears her name but gets brutally killed in front of Harrison.
With Dexter dead Debra adopts Harrison, but since he witnessed his mother's and his father's murder he now becomes like Dexter so Debra has no choice but to teach him the code. Screen goes black, then they show a grown Harrison working a murder scene just like Dexter at the beggining and he's all excited with this and gives us a glance of his killer just before the show ends.
