I was just in another forum watching two guys go at it about batteries for PS3 vs 360 controllers.
I love the rechargable idea in Sony's approach. Then I started to think I have never had a controller long enough to see it die out of charge.(Where it's done/can't be recharged anymore)
Then I started to think why that has never happened to me lol...
- I traded in my original PS3 and first 2 controllers for PS3 Slim and another controller
- The other 4 controllers I had were broken due to me being a hardcore NBA fan and a good NBA2K player so when I actually lose due to BS my controller usually goes flying which results to being broken lol.
Any of you guys have PS3 controller/s that lived long enough to um... Die of natural causes? lol
I still got my Sixaxis controller from my original phat PS3, which was from 2008.
It still works fine, though it is slightly "out of rotation" and is mostly a PC controller now. How long are these things suppose to last? lol
I have no idea, I've heard a couple of guy say their original SixAxis and DS3's are dead. I was just curious because I never came across the problem
I've never had it happen to any of my PS3 controllers either.
I still got 2 original launch pads. Both had heavy use, and work fine

My launch sixaxis still works. Though I don't use it much nowadays. Will use it this weekend on the 4x Diablo night.

The controller that came with my original PS3, a 60 gb phat, was no longer functioning by the time I decided to buy a slim.
As for the DS3 controllers? I have not had a problem yet.
