I never checked out any psu streams. Do you have any idea what time (please give time zone if Canada uses them, or let us know your region...East, West or Central Canada) you might be streaming shepard?
Guna guess about 7pm cst tonight. Maybe a bit earlier depending on the wife.
I'm Pacific, might be home by then but probably not (likely 7 Pacific which means 9 Central I believe?). If I am though I'll be there! In any case I'll check for it when I do get home just in case you are still streaming.
Ugh, stuck at work waiting on someone else before I can wrap up for the day. I want to go home and play. All I've done is run around Havana!

Patch is out, embedded comparison images and gifs to OP.
VERY obvious and drastic difference
Everything looks more detailed I didn't really expect that much difference. ANd lol at the comparison of the guys ass so glad that looks better
It looks a lot better now!
DOE! Had to go out and get some school supplies for the young'uns after work so I missed the stream completely. Played last night late though and the difference post patch is greater than I expected. Looks so crisp! Nicely done improvements.
and people say you cant tell the difference between 720p and 1080p, and this was less of a difference going from only 900p to 1080p and people are noticing easily.
There's no doubt in my mind though that we would still see a difference if the ONLY thing done with the patch was the res upgrade. Maybe not quite as significant but 180P is still over 10% greater resolution than before.
Thanks for the update! how big is the update?
:drool :drool :drool
It was noticeable I must say!
I own AC4, Knack, and Ghosts and so far this is consuming 90% of my gaming time. Best AC game to date, and the visuals just got better to boot!
So that first patch wasn't it?
Sweet!!! I usually have my Pioneer receiver in Plasma processing mode on my Panasonic GT25 (yep, gives me the Kuro algorithms on a Panasonic panel, life is good ;) ) but not at the moment, so, i figured it was just the lack of my usual processor. Those shots are sweet.
PS4 gets patches that bring, what, EVERY game up to 1080p and apparently (DF's COD article) exceeding 60fps... and the XBO has a longer more complicated journey to tap it's capability, whatever that is, ahead of it.
I think this battle is suddenly between SONY and Nintendo. Word of mouth might crush the XBO, things weren't good in GameStop when casual gamers were asking for advice. The GS people were guarding their responses but you could tell they wanted to say bad things about XBO, and I just said it how it was right now with the difference in resolutions in the 3P games and the differences in the hardware for one guy, who asked why the games were 'softer and 720p' after he said he didn't want to hear the tech, the GS guy said it was really the tech and then i said in an apples to apples comparison, the PS4 memory is 2.5x times faster and the 3D chip has 50% more cores, 18vs 12. He said he builds his own computers and wanted to know what it was like, i said a $200 vid card vs a $300 vid card basically. He was shocked MS would get caught so short. I told him about the NFL and HDMI in and controlling TV and stuff and he said I have a Samsung Smart TV for that *S expletive*, who cares?
Most of the store was listening to the conversation and asked questions. I said the XBO has all the same 3p games coming out for the most part, but, right now, that's what's going on. I said i'm a PS4 guy, not going to lie, but anywhere you read it honestly it's just as I said, and the 3 GS guys all nodded basically.
They were NOT ready to pitch that info though, they seem very reticent, so, I think they've been advised internally not to bash it or make any distinction in performance between the systems. To their credit, they didn't bring up the HDMI in, TV control or NFL thing in the XBO favor either. When I worked there eons ago I didn't like to have a clamp put on me either, and that's the passive way to fight it. If i can't tell the bad points I'm not gonna promote it either.
I remember when Jaleco tried to rake GameFan Magazine over for their scathing review of something, maybe Astyanax, or something else more shovelware, and Jaleco said they'd never advertise in the magazine again, and they pretty much said good. It's RARE that anyone in the industry won't bow to a major power publisher much less a system supplier though.
I can really notice a difference when I look at Edwards back plate of his armor. It comes in so clear now on my tv.
