If you are playing with/against people that have a clue it's not too hard to take down jets. I've shot one down several times with the tank before.

In a Jet? Destroy land, sea & air vehicles, shoot the fuck out of anyone on the ground and so on ad nauseum. Sometimes it gives me XP for all this, sometimes it doesn't.
