Exact same way I passed it. Also if your use the regular blades of chaos the fire ones the L3+R3 chaos meter builds up way faster than the others.

It's alot of fun. Lots of exploring on your own through the map and finding lots of supplies is great. The dead zones are really cool. I went in my first one today and it was pretty tough.

Started yesterday and I just got to the survival camp. LOTS of exploring when you get to the island. I'm liking it. I got the special edition which came with the BBQ blade. Awesome!

Finally entered the multiplayer mode and did the brief training. I didn't see the extra armor from the DLC like Leonidis' available to download.

Am I missing something? From playstation xmb under...

Man I got sucked into the single player so long that I've only completed the brief training session in the beginning. Also build my character.
