How do you guys feel about it? Just curious.
I was watching a documentary on youtube not long ago and many people see it as a immoral sinful thing.
One guy put it as sort of erasing races.
If asian and white have kids, they'll be no white or asian kids.
Which I find ridiculous, but anyways. To the people that won't have a black, white, asian or whatever spouse/gf/bf. Why ?

Well, as this is not pre 1960, and I am not a crotchety old geezer, I really don't give a f**k. Lookwise, I used to like Asians the most actually, but grew out of it. Now I like the best overall, but half asain/half white is a very good combo judging by what I have seen in the past, it's an awesome look.

well since there is no such thing as race (this is scientifically supported), i would have to say that if people of different skin color decide they want to have a relationship then it's fine, it's just like every other relationship.

Exactly! We should erase the so called "races" because it doesn't mean anything. The only thing race is good for is racism, which sucks. So everyone get mixing so we can become a nice light brown color. Then we can start getting rid of religions, the other major reason for hatred in this world.

I have no problem with it whatsoever.

Exactly. These classifications are ridiculous to say the least. We are all human. We may have different charasteristics, but that does not make one inferior to another.
I however, would want to hear the people you are against it. I know some are.
I know there are some that are not attracted to a race based on preference, but I want to hear from the ones that think it's wrong.

Its just wrong, creating mud people!.... ;3
Genetically is creates diversity(even though the diversity it makes has existed in the past),and diversity ensures survival. As a mixed person the only negative so far is that I cant grow a mullet like some of my cousins....I want a mullet I dont know why but I want one >:3"Those who beat their swords into plowshares will end up plowing for those who did not."

It's really amazing looking at the language used in anti-miscegenation cases. A friend of mine once posted a list of twenty statements about the horrors of ungodly, evil, marriages that were clearly contrary to God's plan, and asked us to guess which of them were from the interracial marriage debate in the 30s and 40s, and which of them were from the gay marriage debate in the 90s. It was a trick; they were ALL from the 30s and 40s, but they sounded exactly the same.
One of the best references for this is the famous case, Loving v. Virginia, in which a couple were actually yanked from their bed in the middle of the night for unlawfully claiming to be married under the laws of another state, but living in Virginia. The court ruling on this is a classic:
"Almighty God created the races white, black, yellow, Malay and red, and he placed them on separate continents. And but for the interference with his arrangement there would be no cause for such marriages. The fact that he separated the races shows that he did not intend for the races to mix."
The Supreme Court of the US was called to rule, and said:
" Marriage is one of the "basic civil rights of man," fundamental to our very existence and survival.... To deny this fundamental freedom on so unsupportable a basis as the racial classifications embodied in these statutes, classifications so directly subversive of the principle of equality at the heart of the Fourteenth Amendment, is surely to deprive all the State's citizens of liberty without due process of law. The Fourteenth Amendment requires that the freedom of choice to marry not be restricted by invidious racial discrimination. Under our Constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual and cannot be infringed by the State."
An excellent ruling, by any standard.
You still find people going on about interracial marriage. Bob Jones "University" used to have a policy against interracial dating, although they now just shy of totally deny it, having erradicated their policy page. A few years back, they explained that they were opposed to it on the grounds that it was closely related to the antichrist's "one world government".
I totally wish I were making that up.

eh, but people are acting like it's going to wipe out all races which I don't get.
I think some people see this as an "epidemic" Which I find odd.
In America, IR relationships have been boosted significantly by a large amount.
Yet, black people are only 10-20% of the US population.
lol I don't think it's wiping out anyone. Just creating more mixed people.
Heh, apparently he didn't know moses boned and married a black chick.

I think he did. He was just making a point.
I have often wanted to challenge someone to a debate on this topic, where every time he opens his mouth I just shout "MOSES!"

That Youtube video sounds like a crock of crap to me. See, there's a double-standard at work here: if you believe in inter-racial relationships, you're advocating positive eugenics according to the video. If you don't, you're a Nazi.
Screw that kind of crap. I find that I am largely only physically attracted to white women myself, but that has no bearing at all on my feelings about inter-racial relationships, which I think are a wonderful thing. Love shouldn't be rejected on the basis that the other person doesn't share your skin pigmentation.
This kind of crap is clearly not Scriptural, and reflects the miserable hearts of men who fear those different from themselves. As a Christian I find myself no less disgusted by this crap than any nonbeliever would be.

I don't think Moses was the only one. Noah had black kids; kids different from him.
It's funny how the media paints the bible all white and other religions.
To tell you the truth, There was probably more diverse cultures that are ignored.
Well, don't want to turn this into a bible thread (we already got one of those lol.)
Man, I really wanted to hear from the people who thought it was immoral.
Anyways, I found a great video from this chick. She explains why people always find reasons to inter racially date. She talks about people being guilty for dating out of their race and what not. They always have to find some insecurity with their own race instead of openly admitting they are attracted to diversity.
Man, the human mind is a interesting thing. Why must a person feel ashamed and make up excuses for dating inter-racially?
here's the vid anyways.

The video was covering certain views on inter-racial dating. They interviewed many people and that dude just grabbed my attention because I've never heard of Wiping out a race. I also typed it in google and found a propagenda site that preached the same thing.
I don't look as it as a double standard. I don't think too many people are for inter-racial dating, meaning they promote it over same race relations. It's like Pro-choice of who you want to be with and is it "morally" just where as some people think races should only have relationships with same races. They don't have to be racist, although they can, but they don't have to be.
edit: I think I read your interpretation wrong?:S ahaha.

I'm attracted to White females only probably because I've only been with white females, but if i met someone of another race, I'd try it out, I see no problem with it.

I got no problem with it.
As far as I'm concerned, who the **** has the right to tell you who you can or cannot date?
-

Yeah, I agree. I feel sorry for the weak minded people. I've heard the most ridiculous arguments.
"Race is a major factor in a marriage/relationship"
BULL. They have been inter-faith religions with major success. Race is only as big as you allow it to be. If you can't deal with the weird awkward looks, the ignorant people, then don't do it.
I've met so many females that I'm interested. Some of them white and they usually bring up that their fathers or parents don't want them dating black guys.
ugh.

My thoughts exactly. They're all one color on the inside. (Unless they have an STD.)
I believe in the merging of all races to create one unified race so we can advance in our evolution. I also believe in the eradication of religion but that's a different topic for a different thread.

. at the end of the day, people are people and we're just trying to get by. if you're attracted to someone you should go for it and not give into any of those antiquated notions on race. you're only missing out on a lot of potentially rewarding things in life by shutting yourself out.
