PS3 Theme Problem, The PS3 Cannot See the Files

I made two PS3 themes and put them on a CD. I made two folders on the CD, one was called exactly "PS3", and the next one inside of that one was called "THEME". The two folders showed up under Picture on the PlayStation 3, but when I went to install the theme it said to insert the storage media, and it was already in. I even tried to take the CD back out and put it back in and it didn't do anything.

I was reading a separate topic, it seems a lot of people are having the same problem, and yet some people aren't.

By the way, I put 2 themes in the same folder. I don't think it matters but just in case.

the ps3 or psp are kind of picky on whre u put the files on the CD. They have to be in a named folder that cant go more than 1 folder deep. Also the pictures have to be acceptable formats and sizes.

If you are putting 2400x1800 png files on the CD, ps3 might not recognize.. 1024x768 jpgs ya will work.

i dont think theres a limit to how many themes you can have in the folder. i had about 30 or so themes i wanted to try out and had them all in there at the same time.

i dont have a psp (not an on the go gamer) what i did was i created a folder called PS3, in the folder i created another folder called theme, tossed all the themes i had in there and copied it all to my ipod, which let me install on the ps3. i wish there was an easier method to install in situations like this, like press triangle and install all or something, 1 by 1 for all those themes sucked. out of all those themes, i only ended up keeping bout 3 - 4 though.

I don't know if you can use a CD, but this might help. You know that nature, and classy pink ones? Well, actually, doesn't matter if you know them. Well, I downloaded it on my PS3 browser, and it said save to, and I picked pictures. So try ripping or copying them into your photos. Because thats how I got them off the internet. And they worked too.

That is a good idea, because I was thinking about sending them to myself in e-mail, and then going to my PS3 browser to download them.

I tired that myself. When I would open my e-mail to download the p3t file, it would ask me to insert a storage device.

So instead, I use my old homestead page to upload the p3t files there and download it through the PS3's browser.

I made the two folders on my flashdrive (its Fat32 already) then put the .p3t files on it and the PS3 didn't see any themes.

Don't forget you have to install them.
No probs here: USB stick -> folder: PS3 -> in PS3 a folder: THEME -> in THEME all the downloaded themes -> Themesettings -> install

first i thought that the ps3 wouldnt be able to see through the folders, and so i copied the files and took them out of the folder on my ps3. Even then when i went into installation and chose memory stick, it said nothing was found.

I still cannot do it. I sent it to my e-mail. Then I went in the PS3 browser and opened my e-mail to go to the attachments. It wouldn't let me download to the PS3's HDD, so I downloaded them to my Memory Stick, and it still didn't see them.

I think I need to make a THEME folder under my PS3 folder on my Memory Stick first.

Ok, then use your PSP. Turn your USB on and make the folders on that. Which is what exactly I did and it works. It's common sense homeslice..
