Mesmerize: Trace

Hello All,

I see that this game "Mesmerize: Trace" for the PS EYEwas released to the EU PS Store yesterday. I am looking for any info/feedback/opininons on this game as it seems there is very select info available.

Would be awesome if this was in the XMB or activated as a screen-saver, with a random theme each time. No idea why they are stand-alone.

i fail to see the point with this thing although the two games available on PSN is rather good actually but theese screensavers are pointless if they ain't started automatically and actually working as screensavers instead of what they do now.

I wouldn't call it a game under any circumstances. And as a matter of fact, Mesmerize: Trace just adds a few more visualizations to original Mesmerize. (I don't know if it can be run as a standalone.)

Anyway, like already pointed out here, Mesmerize _would_ be cool if it really was a randomly changing screensaver and/or visualization for music. In its current form you'll probably look at it for 5 minutes and then forget the whole thing.

This. As a bakground XMB/wallpaper thingy, it would be nice. As it stands, pointless, even to stoners.

Bummer. Another week and we Americans still have no downloads to work with our spiffy new Eye cameras.

What do I have to do in order to buy these games from Sony?!?! Get on a friggin jet and go knocking on a Tokyo HQ office door???

I mean seriously, I know the camera works for chat and all, but why bother releasing it in the states if none of the games/tech demos/screen savers are going to be released here?!?

actually ive got both the original and trace and we left it on random in the corner at a house party we had....thought it was great for that, plus some of the effects reacted well to music.

It has its place and its only £2

Actually it kind of a nice feature if you got a 40"+ screen.
And put your Eye in high and wide angle and run this Mesmerize on back ground in a dance party.
So the people's movement and music will change the big screen background.

Did you try this? Becuase it works like **** for me, even with just one person. its clsoe to random motion on the screen and sometimes it even react to the coats and other furniture... I would rather have the japanes bird thing at least that one is good looking.

So are Tori Emaki and Trials of Topoq screen savers that come on when you are inactive in your XMB?or do they work in games as well? OR all all of these PS Eye games screensavers?

No, they are not screen savers and they don't kick in after some time of inactivity. They have to be launched from XMB like any other game (even though for example in Mesmerize or Tori Emaki there really aren't any gaming elements).
