I just bought a motherboard/cpu combo. It's a 3ghz P4, I hook it all up and everything and then the fan turns on and hard drive spins up, but it never runs a POST. I suspect it might be inadequate power supply, but I'm not sure, I think the one I'm using is a generic 350 watt. I need a geek!![]()

Well, normally 350 watt is enough for that system, but can you give me all your specs? Plus I'd like to know how much power does your power supply gives at 12-ampère?

Normally that mean's or mobo has 1 positive and negative touching, good thing you didn't have alot of amps or you would have fryed the board, but if your mobo is new you should get your money back, because its a factory defect.
were you using a d-link ethernet card or smc ?
