Lord of the Rings PS3 Theme:



Be nice, this is my first theme that I have created. It has 4 wallpapers, custom icons for the main XMB icons...and then the usual XMB icons have been modified. I will continue to work on it and update it with new icons, wallpapers, and eventually sound.

Looks very good, nice job. How do you get those pictures to be see through? Like the ring for example, you can see the background through the middle of it.

Its a .png file so there is a transparent background behind the image layer.

They are set for random...and I am not sure there is a max. The most I've seen is 15.

I like the theme just downloaded it.but i dont like the black bars top and bottom.

Yeah, that another improvement for v.2

It's just hard to find 1920x1080 size wallpapers...so I had to crop and increase the canvas size.

Does anyone else not like to use themes? I've downloaded like 20 different themes and I always end up going back to the standard PS3 theme. I feel like they are all cluttered and they just aren't sleek enough. Anybody have an idea of a theme that looks really sleek on the PS3?

Just a little advice, and this is only my taste here. I love the custom Icons, but I'm not a big fan of theicons for the users and music and things of that sort. I've always felt they should have something to do with the category.

If you don't mind Windows Vista, there is a very good Vista theme. It has a few wallpapers with a nice set of quality icons. I downloaded about 10 other themes, but I haven't checked them out; I've been content with the Vista theme thus far.

Of course this Lord of the Rings theme might be worth checking out, too.

I like the themes I have as well as tha ones I created. I do(in my opinion) dont care for the themes where they have nothing but pictures. I prefer to have all of my icons intact. So that I know what category Im going to. But like I said thats in my opinion. I agree wit RAID3N some themes are just nothing but pictures and thats confusing.... I liked tha VISTA Theme by tha way....
