Well the PS3 is a luxury item, as are many of the items which go with it. I would assume people only spend the money they can afford on such items. I have zero credit cards and pay for everything there and then. Nothing borrowed. You can sleep soundly knowing my kids are clothed and fed Oh, they went to Egypt and Ireland this year and are off to Malta and Turkey next - they don't go without.

I have a very good job and my wife works too. When you get to my age you are usually pretty settled in your life.

hmm lets see... £425 for ps3
    ive had 9 games since then so roughly 40 x 6 = £240, 50 x 3 = £150
new tv that i bought shortly after for HD gaming = £450
    Blu ray movie - roughly 3 x 25 = £75
    PS eye = £25
    extra controller = £35

    TOTAL
    425 + 240 + 150 + 450 + 75 + 25 +35 = £1400 meh not that bad

My priorities are just that - MY PRIORITIES. I do what I want with my cash, and I don't need somebody to tell me what I should do with it.

    Resistance - $70
    GRAW II - $70
    Assassin's Creed - $70
    Call of Duty 4 - $70

For the purposes of saving you some money in the future, I'll simply point out that MonoPrice is your friend for cabling needs, and Amazon is your friend for Blu-ray movie buying ($31.76 a movie is... more than you need be paying).

I've bought about 6 of those (to watch on my bro's PS3 for now)

Ooh, but I spent about $40-50 for online games :-p

I would count anything you would not have brought if it weren't for PS3.

If you have the money then why not. It may not be justified to you but then again people spend a lot of money on stuff that I believe to be a waste as well. I can question a lot of your priorities in life but like you said ..."meh" it's MY money.

I'm a BIG car guy and spending money on a car is the WORST economical way to be spending money. But the thing is, I live within my means, and never over exert myself with my spending.

I hear ya. I put the brake on those bluray movies and I will buy future titles from Amazon. Some of the ones I did buy like Spiderman trilogy I did get a break. 20 a movie but still.

    -£360 (i think) on ps3 60GB with 3 games (fifa, Hs, Resistance)
    -£40 (i think) on Warhawk
    -£40 on Assassins Creed
    -£440($886) in total!!!

thats amazing considering how much the ps3 cost to start with and how many hours of fun i got out of everyg ame (apart from fifa) (plus i didnt pay for any of this...my parents did -but i paid for AC)

if you count the HDTV and HDMI cable, it would be around £1400 (an estimate)
