X360 Arcade reduced to £150 in the UK?!

Just browsing around doing some last minute Christmas shopping when I saw this at Gamestation:

And sure enough, clicking on the link brings up the price as £149.99 http://www.gamestation.co.uk/cat.asp...360&t=hardware

I checked Amazon.co.uk, Play, and Game and they still have the RRP as £199. Anyone know if this is a permanent price cut? Or is it just a Gamestation offer?

It was £199, I don't know if this is an offer or a permanent reduction though. It says 'Now £149.99' and it doesn't look like a sale item. Perhaps Microsoft are reducing the price after Christmas and this one got through a little early.

itz true- they are sellin like crazy too. almost so-d out at my store. pdople are wantin ds s but sold out so we are syin buy this intead. ds are like 160 at minute. ten pound less and u get a 360 its crazy. im typin on my archos so a little shakey. i think its juzt a chrimbo deal. get one while u can. hdmi and wireless pad. cant go wrong

I said in another threads the arcade packs are selling just as good as the premiums here in the UK. We don't get as much stock as Premiums but they still sell out. Maybe MS tapped into the casuals here. They have been easier to sell than the core, i simply don't have to say this: "Oh if you want to save your games you're going to need a Memory Card or Hard Drive"

Which of course turned a lot of people off. With the appeal of a memory card and a few cheap games its a great offer.

I thought the arcade version came with wired controllers, and didn't have a HDMI port? Hmm...

Very cheap though. Methinks a lot of parents will be thoroughly pissed off with this!

Nope, the arcade now has wireless pad + hdmi + mem card + a bunch of arcade games + demos.

That's kinda crazy...Nintendo DS is $140 in Canada, Arcade pack is $279. Not really the same situation at all.

Just thought people should remember that gamestations in blockbusters arent acctualy owned by gamestation. I went in to get CoD 4 for £25, was lucky they had one copy left in stock, but it was coming up at the normal price. (He kindly sold it to me for £25 though, not sure if he was ment to though)

A warning for those whos gamestations are in a blockbuster shop

They do.
The SKU was brought in a fair while after they made those revisions.
Nothing on shelves should have anything less than the updated guts, especially not at this time of year.

In Australia we got the models with HDMI, BenQ drives and new cooling a few weeks pack so you guys would definitely be getting even newer hardware again.
