Now this is a bunch of bull****. USC evades playing the SEC every **** year. Illinois shouldnt have even been in the **** rose bowl. What is college football coming to?Who else thinks this is a not right?
"USC's win in the Rose Bowl was so impressive that voters might give the Trojans the AP crown."

It's gotta be hard for them win a bowl game in their back yard against....wait...what's that teams name....Illinois...a team that won a whopping 6 games the previous 3 years? When's the last time they were relevant in football? Weren't they named the ap champ a few years ago when lsu won the bcs?

They sure did. Again USC refuses to play SEC teams. I wish half of those northern school would play an sec team atleast once a season. We wouldnt see half as many perfect records out there. You know **** you deserve to go to the BCS Championship when you have a record like LSU or any other school in the SEC for that matter. Winning records in the SEC are great accomplishments that are overlooked by a lot of people.

i am pissed off as well. This happened 4 years ago. If the AP wants both of them to have it, why don't LSU and USC play against each other for the championship.
I mean what did they expect? That USC and Illinois would be a close game?
WHO DAT??? 16-3 SBXLIV CHAMPS
DREW BREES SB MVP - REVVED UP FOR A REPEAT!!

The AP wants to give it to USC. LSU is going by the rules established in college football to play in the National Championship.
"Any team that looses to stanfords back up qb at home should loose all creditablity in there aurguments to give USC the National Champions Title."

Any team that loses to 1 player alone, Darren McFadden, doesn't deserve to be in the national championship either. It's as simple as that. Teams have bad days. USC is probably a better team than Ohio State and I would have loved to see USC and LSU. OSU had a cake schedule however and walked into the national championship because of it.

The pac ten ducks the SEC every year its pathetic. Pete Carrol always crys after theyve won there bowl game. USC should have played LSU back in 03 also. But i dont think just because LSU lost to Arkansas, they dont deserve to go to the championship. Ohio State also had a lose. Also - Any team that loose to STANFORD, shouldnt even think about playing in the championship. Apparently people dont know how hard it is to be in the SEC and have a winning or perfect scedule.

This year really exposed the BCS system and all of it's inherent flaws. When they allow only 1 team from each conference(with a few exceptions), it is a recipe for failure. This year the Big Ten was way overrated, thus we have the mess that was created by the BCS system. Illinois and Ohio State both were fortunate in that the Big Ten has no conference championship game. I really think that is a bit unfair to the other conferences that while they are playing 1 or 2 extra games against top teams, the BigTen teams are idle. I am a fan of the Big Ten and I think it would be best for all if they require a conference championship playoff system for a team to be BCS eligible. This would force the Big Ten to comply. Although, I think it would be even better if there was a simple playoff system rather than this Bowl/BCS junk.
