Clash of the Titans (360/PS3)

In my opinion I think that people are jumping a little ahead of themselves when it comes to graphics and sound quality. When it comes down to it people end up buying consoles to play the games they think kick ass and thats what it comes down to. I don't have all the info so don't expect me to be 100% accurate at this stuff.. I believe that when the PS3 comes out that it will be brandishing a Perfect Dark Killer and a Halo Killer and they go by the names of MGS4 and Killzone 2. I can easily say that when I heard that Guerilla is putting it's support behind Sony that Microsoft just lost potential ground when it came to Halo 3. Alot of people claim that Halo is one of the ultimate games when it comes to FPS and I agree that Halo is a good game... (I can call it series now can't I since they have their third game on the way?) But Killzone is less of an Alien and Super-Technology based video-game that is more like World War II than Halo and using the past as a template we all know that many gamers love WWII games. But the 360 has some other things going for it and I am not talking about games alone. I have played a 360 before and the rating system and the ability to play music while playing games is very impressive and I am not exactly the biggest fan of Microsoft. They have alot of good games like: Fable The Lost Chapters and Project Gotham Racing and Call of Duty II. If you include the fact that the 360 is backwards compatible and the fact it has been out for a while now it's easy to see why I called this "Clash of The Titans." What I was wondering is if anyone has any predictions and who they favour in the outcome.

No real need to have a Perfect Dark killer since that game was one of the worst selling games on the 360. Theres only been 1 system seller for Microsoft, and thats the Halo series.

Most of the people you ask about the 360 and why they bought it. " Cause Halo will be out in late 2006 I heard. Gears of War looks tight too ". Those who have the 360 now that I know don't even play it right now. They are still playing the PS2 or not playing games at all and just waiting around for something new to release on the 360. Hell, my friends letting me borrow his for a week or so. He has PGR3 and Perfect Dark Zero . I will rent Condemned and Kameo.

I don't really see it as a clash of the titans. Not with the Revolution being around the corner as well. I see it as ... Microsoft trying desperately to push Sony into 2nd place, and Sony just doing what they always have done and deliver in the games category and pushing technology far beyond what Microsoft even thought of doing. Built in Blu-Ray, Cell, RSX, all those USB's, 3 ethernet ports. I mean come on, thats the kind of technology out of my system I like to see.

Sony will win in a landslide yet again. When the REvolution releases and the PS3 gets its first JRPG's its all over for Microsoft in Japan. In Europe, the 360 will sell better but not by much once the PS3 is around and the games come rolling in like they always do on a Sony system. In the US, thats the only place Microsoft will sell 1-1 with the PS3 for awhile. But eventually the PS3 will overtake the 360 here in America and end up selling 30 million again compared to Microsofts 20 million or so here in America.

So, I predict in 6 years ...

PS3 - 92 million units sold
Xbox360 - 30 million units sold
Revolution - 30 million units sold.

Revolution will sell huge in Japan.

nice predicition, but your being very generous to those figures,

ps3 in 6 years will and should do accourding to the stats, 160million easy..

reading your oppinion, it sounds like your saying , even though the 360 is not as powerfulll as ps3, its still going to be ace, sure it is, but not for long, heck, i can see them dumping it again, in 4 years, or maybe they could learn from mistakes,

still, i like your comment, but it to me , in my oppinion, sounds like your trying to say 360 is going to be better than ps3, but thats just me,

I think the PS3 will sell more than the 100 million in 6 years since so many people are working on the PS3 and really want the Cell to be out there.

dont worry, many gamers who were without jobs, have a jobs now, that they are out of school, and can affored ps3, so the numbers shoould be through the roof.

Actually I hate Microsoft Consoles, I am just saying that they have a better talent for getting developers because the price to make the software to create the games is going to be alot cheaper than for Sony. I agree that Sony will win but one has to remember that they have exaggerated things in the past. I know that the PS3 is going to be tops all around the world but if you look at alot of people that have already bought 360s, they can't afford to buy a ps3 at all. I've only been playing games for 13 years and I already said I don't have all the data but this is just my opinion. You also have to remember that new games do come out and alot of new series may arise on any given console.

What are you talking. The XBox 360 didn't even sell that much. Probably slightly over the 1 million mark. The PS3 will launch with millions to crush the sales of the XBox 360. Mostly everybody that I know knows the PS3 is coming. Saying things like "isn't it comming out in Spring it's gonna to be tight" or "now I have power and games". Please don't make me laugh. Trust me, the PS3 will sell out record sales. Sony exxagerates, but so does every damn company. If you don't make you product sound interesting, nobody will buy it.

Well, as with every console generation not everyone buys the console the first year. PS2 sales are actually UP this past year over previous years, which is amazing considering its a 6 year old console now.

Most will end up getting more then one system. Either the PS3 and Revolution or the PS3 in the Xbox360. I never hear many people say they will skip over the PS3 from whom I've talked to.

But the thing that suprises me is the PSP and the PS2 outsold the XBox 360. The PS2 is starting to get old and it outsold a hot new console like the XBox 360. Even a handheld outsold it. When the XBox 360 was announced, XBox sales stopped dead in its tracks. Everybody abondened the console(except for me).

Dude I don't even think it reached it they were talking about it on ATOS how Microsoft was way short of their expectations in selling millions of units I know it tanked in Jap City it sold 1/4 of its stock.
