Long story. PC outa action for months. Had warranty on graphics cards but they were messing me around. If this was america I'd sue them into oblivion

Happy with win on Saturday. It's the first step on a long road to get getting back on track. Regardless of what happens from now on, Wenger has to go. His time is up.

good win. somewhat average game. the goals were pretty nice, even if i partly blame the goalie for santos' goal but i like the initiative he took to go for goal. Chamberlain looked alright for his first game. i still think he has a long way to go though. same with frimpong. He needs to watch his unruly tackles and they both need to cover better defensively. i've seen chamberlain watch his man but when he gives the ball off, Ox doesn't continue to follow him which makes it easy for the opposition to play give & go's.
I also dont understand why they play Arteta in any position other than Center Attacking Midfield. He's the arguably the best passer on the team and has excellent vision. Why do they keep playing him in a defensive midfield role. Ideally i'd like for a change of formation from the 5 point star but if youre going to continue, play him as CAM.

Really anxious about Tottenham. I paper, they have a better team than us now and im worried about containing Adebayor. Coach needs to personally assign mertesacker on him and if i see any corner kick where mertesacker isnt guarding him, i am not going to be happy. its going to be a tough game.

Is this the first Derby you are watching as an Arsenal fan? Always exciting when we face the Scummers and their joke of a manager 'Arry Redknapp.

There is absolutely no reason we should lose the match on paper but of course we have our current defence...

We were all over the place at times but a win is a win

In the long term, having to scrap every game to get the result is no bad thing for these players, it will instil the fighters mentality we have been missing for years.

Agree Cyn, unfortunately i dont yet see that fighting mentality forming. We have a few fighters(sagna, frimpong,[albeit reckless], song, koscienly, rvp) but the attitude that i see from a lot of other players is still quite different from the intensity that i see from ManU players. This might also be due to some of the reasons between Ferguson and Wenger.

And FF, im just going to come out and say that we'll be butting heads a lot and i really hope you know its nothing personal. just two fans with totally different views on things so I hope you dont take anything i say to heart. But im going to label you as an overly optimistic fanboy (with love) and i'll leave myself as a pragmatist who (on the inside stays hopeful) but on the outside calls it like he sees it.

Lets compare. We have the better goalie. They have the better defense (though i still wouldnt rate their defense as necessarily strong, so thats good). In midfield they have Modric, VDV, and Bale who i would say are better than any of our current midfield players(maybe not song, but hes defensive a mid). they also have a much deeper midfield bench. When it comes to strikers, i'll say its pretty even but i think Adebayor will give us more trouble than Van Perise will give them. I really hope they tell Per to personally be responsible for Adebayor on every set piece. I still hope we win, and I think we have the ability. I just dont see the odds in our favor. I would be content with a tie, especially away.

Adebayor and Modric are a problem for sure but Bale is overhyped. Sure he has massive potential but so far he is about as consistent as Walcott and has similar stats.

    My Prediction:
Even though the chance of us losing a derby has never been greater in many many years.. I still think we will win it because we really do need to win this game if we hope not to crumble and end up lower than 4th this season.. and Ramsey will bag it.

As for our defensive problems I think after we get a proven striker Sakho or Hummels should be priorities.

Gervinho.. I just don't know what to say folks. He even did pass to Walcott earlier on in the match when Walcott was calling for the ball. Not convinced by Gervinho at all right now.

I cant recall the missed pass youre talking about but missing the net off of that excellent RVP pass is unacceptable. he has had too many unacceptable moments in his short time at Arsenal. Mertesacker..i need him to be a lot stronger. On that goal when he was going at VDV, he went in so weakly that VDV wasnt even phased. You gotta throw yourself with all your gusto in order to try and block that shot. If that was koscielny, he would not has let VDV volly that ball so freely. We also really need to cut down on the turnovers, ESPECIALLY in our half. its killing us. Oh a big reason for that is RAMSEY CAN'T PASS! I dont even know how many times he's turned the ball over, many turnovers leading to fast break counters. wtf, i even see him mess up easy passes. lets get with it! We need to be sharper and quicker with our attack too. Far too many times i see the attacking player with the ball look around in frustration because there is no one available.

I saw bring on Arshavin for Gervinho and lets get a better passing game going. Walcott looks hungry for goal and RVP always is as well.

Lets go Gunners let get one back quick!

Edit: we've kept modric at bay for the most part and Bale is Awesome! better than walcott.

Great another person who has gotten caught in the hype for him what has he done this match really except for that one cross.

edit: GET INNNNNN!!!!! That's for all the Ramsey haters out there.. the Welsh Captain!

edit2: Dinamo you said they have a better midfield? Funny how they couldn't control it this match. The second goal we gave up was just heartbreaking... it seems that players always score goals they'll never top again against us doesn't it?

We need to spend some money in January.. but till then we can do nothing but get behind the team.

totally heartbreaking.. Szczesny made some absolute miracle saves but somehow had a mental lapse on that shot. About ramsey, while i maintain his passings needs some serious improvement, he was very visible this game and is an active player which I like. I will say aside from many give away passes, he had a good game. He just needs a little more developing. And yes, VDV and modric were much quieter than anticipated. Our new 4-3-3 formation worked to control the midfield...but i think it left us vulnerable on counter attacks. I dont know if this was the game to experiment with it. granted thats not why we lost. We just didnt have enough skill, enough class. Too many errors and I still dont think the offense is gelling like they should.

And we should all be able to agree, we need to spend some money, not just on "promising" players but on already established world class players. We need a second RB (i hope sagna isnt injured for too long. We have chelsea coming up this month). All the new guys we got, gervinho, arteta, etc... they're all average players in the EPL. we have need to get some stand out superstars if we hope to compete. Whenever RVP gets the ball, you can just see that his class is above the rest. We need more players of that caliber.

Edit: I disagree with Wenger's decision to put in Benayoun. I think the appropriate move would have been Arshavin for Walcott and keeping in gervinho. Because when Arshavin came in (he's able to slot in great through balls), we no longer had walcott or gervinho and lost our speed up top. This isnt the type of game to put Benayoun in.

Benayoun was put in to cover for Jenkinson to help him handle the right side.

After the 8-2 jokes going on for 4-3 weeks don't you think Arsenal have turned in 2-1 big joke?

got this fucking text 3 times today, Wenger doesn't know what his doing and this season will be the worst I've ever witnessed, unless some magic happens in January we are in for a long useless and embarrassing season

I don't blame Wenger.. I just blame the fact that we haven't spent any fucking money. Which our Billionaire American owner should have made sure to have done. But it seems he just wants to make a profit out of this "little investment" for him.

If Fabregas left they should have told Wenger.. here is 50 million spend it on somebody.. we know you love Mario Gotze and Hazard well get them.

    Testify!

Some reports are apparently saying now that Wenger will resign at the end of the season if nothing at all good comes from it.
It's sickening to think what we have become after some great stuff about seven years ago.

though we all love gotze and hazard, with this talk of getting a proven superstar, i dont know if I want more kids. M'villa i can do but otherwise if we spend big, I want a proven superstar who can come in, make an immediate impact, and lead.

and yeah, this american majority owner owns teams in every major (and some minor) sports leagues so I think the direct management needs to get be direct with him because he cant possibly be paying such close attention on AFC.

Sagna is out for 3 months... FFS... as much as I love Jenkinson and his passion he can't come from Charlton and adapt to the Premier League within a few weeks.

The only glimmers of hope for us right now are The Coq.. The Ox and Van Persie's healthy ankles.

Sanga out.. Vermaelen out.. Wilshere out.. Koscielny out.. it can't be just bad luck something is wrong.

Something is wrong. There needs to be some sort of shake up. I'm not saying at the helm, but somewhere. Firstly, bring in a defensive coach who also knows about set pieces.

Also, I never really cared too much to find out but the news stories keep coming out about these Adebayor chants. Can someone tell me what the fans were actually singing? im curious now and want to judge for myself the severity of the condemnation. You can put it in spoiler tags as im sure it is not appropriate.

What an amazing Career.. he has to stay at the club and injury free if we are going to get out of this mess.

If anyone wants to go and can get there, tickets for the Arsenal-Bolton Carling Cup game are on general sale now. I'm going again.

Lower tier tickets are just £10.

The Ox scored a hat-trick last night in the U-21 match against Iceland. Has the potential to become an absolute beast.

Im kind of sick of talking about potential. Oxlade look good, but he's still miles away from top english under 21 like jones, cleverly, welbeck, wilshere, etc...

I think that's a bit unfair. We only signed him in the summer, and he's hardly had an opportunity.
When he came on against United he hardly did anything, but then, who really did?

But to go with this U21 hat-trick, he's started two professional games for Arsenal and has scored in both - and not to keep going on about it but when I went to the game he really impressed me with his performance.

Yeah, the whole "potential talk" really annoys me whenever they say that about any player, and I think that the player needs to play so they cam fulfill that potential, and I think the same about Chamberlain.
This kid deserves to play for Arsenal as regular as possible so he can just get better and better! I was disappointed that he wasn't even on the team against Tottenham.
